"Great decaf latte, super kind owners/employees, and awesome front porch seating. There’s a bit of seating inside + a bathroom as well. The owner brought fresh pancakes out to my husband and me, on the house, while we played a card game - so surprising and fun!"

"We travel around Charlotte trying different coffee shops and put this on our list based on the reviews. It was well worth the 40 minute drive for us to try out the coffee! There was a steady stream of customers when we went. The coffee was fantastic and the converted house was super cool with a really nice covered porch where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. The service was great! We will definitely be back even though it is quite far for us. That will tell you how good it is!"

"My new favorite coffee place. The owners (forgot to ask their names) are very welcoming and that’s what stood out for us. We had their Signature drinks - Desert Rose and Raw Mocha. We asked for the flavors to be mild and that’s exactly what we got. With each drink we were given a small cup to try the flavor without the espresso which is something I have never experienced. Backyard brew is a hidden gem. We will be visiting again to try out other drinks."

"Such amazing coffee, and TK was so knowledgeable and friendly. We got a hot latte as well as TK’s Chocolate Orange Crush (after trying a sample and being absolutely OBSESSED), both were phenomenal. The cinnamon bun (heated up of course) and the lentil soup were perfect on a chilly morning. We’re so excited to go back already."

"Best latte and cappuccino in all of Charlotte. Bold roast and great aroma. Pastries are well made and have amazing flavor. The employees always friendly and kind. Picture is after I had already tried my coffee. Great place to relax on a porch or work remotely."
