BBQ House

"We had been told that this was the best barbecue around, and since we had not picked up anything for dinner while staying in Oak Island we decided to try it. It was really good barbecue, and so fast! We placed two orders on separate days and both were fast and super fresh. They have five different sauces and the two we tried were delicious. The brisket was very yummy, as was the pork barbecue. I tried hubby’s collards and they were good (and I’m not usually a greens eater!) loved the hush puppies and honey butter and could have had so many more! The corn nuggets were delicious, and the potato salad was yummy. A little wet but I like it that way. We liked it so much we had two meals there and fully intend to return when we go back to that area!"

"This is Carolina BBQ at its finest. We did 2 Grand Daddy’s so we could sample everything. The half chicken was moist, tender and perfect. The BBQ was incredible. The ribs fell off the bones and were delicious. The hush puppies were amazing and all the sauces were finger licking good! You can’t go wrong here!"

"This place was the bomb. Family loved everything. Spicy BBQ sauce was great. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. Reminds us of our favorite place locally in Ohio that closed that we lived. Gotta stop here if in OKI. Potato salad was awesome also."

"I'm from the mountains and this was some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Everything just fell off the bone and was juicy and tender. I got the grandaddy plate with half a chicken, ribs and brisket and it was all phenomenal. Service was fast and our waitress Christina was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Plus it's one of the only places on the island where the prices are justified."

"Great BBQ. I had the two meats plate and opted for the ribs and smoked chicken. The house BBQ sauce is too die for. They also offer several other sauces to use with your meal. My plate came with hush puppies and my choice of two sides. I enjoyed the hush puppies. I got the BBQ (red) slaw which was really good and the potato salad which was pretty good. They have a reasonable kids menu with about six or eight meal options. About $5.99 each and it includes a drink. My wife got the veggie plate which comes with hush puppies and your choice of 4 side dishes which she really enjoyed. Overall it was good service and good food. I'll definitely go again if I'm back in the area."
