"My visit to Tacos El Regio NC Monroe a few months ago left me with a disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. Although the staff members I interacted with were friendly, the tacos I ordered were exceptionally dry. I placed a pick-up order for a variety of tacos, but upon receiving them, I found the meat to be excessively dry. The lack of juiciness and flavor made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal as intended. To salvage my purchase, I had to remove the meat, add some cheese, and fry them with different tortillas at home. It was disheartening to have to go through such lengths to salvage the meal and avoid wasting the money spent. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Tacos El Regio NC Monroe to others. While it is possible that it was simply a bad day or an isolated incident, it is important to note that making a large order should not result in such disappointment. Perhaps trying a few of their other products may yield a better experience, but my personal encounter was unsatisfactory. In summary, my visit to Tacos El Regio NC Monroe was marked by dry tacos that required extensive modification to be enjoyable. Despite encountering friendly staff members, this experience has deterred me from returning or recommending the establishment to others. It is my hope that improvements are made to ensure consistent quality for all customers."

"My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today and oh my gosh! Outstanding food and service, an overall great experience. Let’s talk about it- first of all I am full Mexican so I am always on the hunt for food that mimics true authentic home made Mexican food; this place is IT. We ordered pretty much one of each of the different tacos they order. ALL were flavorful, juicy, and fresh. However, I have my favorite one’s in order: -Asada -Trompo -Chorizo Our favorite thing was also how they give you fresh onions, plenty of limes, and cilantro. The horchata is amazing and so is the maracuya. Giselle was our waitress and she was great! Staff is attentive and we even got FREE empanadas when we were checking out. Amazing tacos we already can’t wait to be back!!! Highly recommend!!!"

"This review will only be on the tacos de asada I ordered and the Agua Fresca de piña. The staff was friendly and warm, the tacos were, meh. The meat was overcooked, salty,and dryyyyyy. Obviously had been cooked and under a heat lamp. All the sauces are super hot even the pico de Gallo, which I think suppose to be their mild. The onion, cilantro, and lime were old. The limes has no juice, nothing special about the tacos, oh well gave it a try. The Agua de piña was the best part."
