"This is such a small airport we were surprised to find a restaurant here. Prices are outrageous, as is typical for airports. The Tavern burgers are very good and we were able to customize condiments. Meat was cooked medium (pink) and if we had been given a choice we would have asked for medium well. Great service. Nice view of tarmac."
"We recently had a fantastic experience at the Blue Ridge Tavern in the Asheville airport. The service was impressively fast and efficient, and the food exceeded my expectations with its freshness and quick delivery. A delightful stop for anyone traveling through!"
"For the only place to eat a meal at the Asheville airport in the heart of the blue ridge during peak season, this restaurant fails terribly. The staff seemed miserable, and the biscuits were not good. The breakfast potatoes were the best part. Affordability is the name of the game."
"Love the view and the granite bar! Several choices of beer on tap as well as whiskey! Truly a great choice for lunch ! The staff are very helpful and friendly!"
"For starters, I got a terrible salty-sweet blueberry cornmeal scone (usually I like scones) from their counter. It was awful in ways I find hard to describe. More savory but unevenly so, and outright salty in some bites, with gritty hard crunchy sugar coating on top and melted sugar on the bottom. Pour a pound each of salt and sugar on some gravel and that’s the secret recipe. I then tried to get rid of the taste and forestall a sugar rush by going into the restaurant area. Their club sandwich was better than the scone, but a disappointment nonetheless. I expected more turkey and more avocado. Three thin slices of turkey, one lettuce leaf, tomato, bacon, cheese, nearly invisible avocado, on buttery bread. House chips were okay but the combo was overly salty. And I swear, there’s probably more avocado in a single piece of California roll sushi than there was in the entire sandwich. I guess they don’t have to try since they have a monopoly. But at least I am full. And service was friendly."
