"Small privately owned mechanic service. Detail oriented and extremely knowledgeable. A quality choice."
"Jason and the team at OGRE are the best! I trust no one else with my truck. They're hands-on and no bs. I had my radiator replaced, a new exhaust, and an 02 sensor put in. Never had an issue. If I ever need any future work done on my truck, I know where I'm taking it. Can't recommend them enough."
"As the son of a retired auto mechanic I am a bit more picky about who works on my vehicles. I can get all my work done for free by taking my car an hour down the road as my dad refuses to allow me to pay for labor. For a while Ive felt a bit of guilt about that and the fact that Dad gets older every year and working on cars becomes more difficult. I now take the majority of my work to Jason at OGRE, and bring Dad a few things when I feel like he wants to work on one rather than just when I need one fixed. The work here is impeccable, and the price is fair, not cheap but fair. You get what you pay for and cheap mechanic work will cost you much more in the long run. Aside from the thorough and outstanding maintenance and repair there are always restorations and custom builds sitting around the shop when I go by. I grew up hanging out in auto repair shops and the smells, sounds, and conversations are something familiar and comforting for me. So any excuse to have something looked at or swing by Ill use just to stand on concrete, look at cars, and smell oil and fuel. The custom shop over there always has something going on, from mountain bike trailers, to old Jeep restorations, to outfitting and beefing up a 4wd truck. This is a place of art and science and for some one like myself not only a trusted source of work that I have neither the time, equipment, or skill to perform, but also place of refuge. Its a high tech, high skill, high quality shop with that good ole grungy grease pit feel."
"I am from the Boston area and was recently visiting family in Pisgah Forest. I found myself with a flat tire and called AAA for assistance. Jason (the owner) came out to change the tire, and was very quick, pleasant, and helpful. He gave me his card and said that if I liked he could repair the tire for me in the morning, and told me where to find his shop. The next morning I dropped off the tire. When I checked on the status he had just finished the repair, and told me that I had both a puncture from a screw and a slice from a razor blade embedded in the tread. He told me that the tire already had 2 plugs, which I already knew but forgot. He said that he plugged the screw hole and patched the cut. I asked him if it was safe to drive back to Boston, but he was hesitant to guarantee it due to all the repairs. I asked for a price on a new tire, and he told me a price that was more than fair. I asked him to go ahead and replace the tire. He knew that I was leaving for Boston in the morning, so he promised to get it done as soon as he could. The tire was replaced and back on the car that afternoon, and we made it home without any issues. I would recommend OGRE and Jason highly, he came through in a pinch for me. He is honest and went the extra mile for me."
