"He Veranda has been our favorite place for lunch in Black Mountain for over 10 years. Consistently good food! It has been under new owners for a few years and we were thrilled to see it still has amazing lunches if homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. On this visit I had the tasty Kay Salad topped with their delicious homemade chicken salad and homemade bread. My husband was delighted with the Meatloaf panini. Terrific!"

"For sure one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! We were greeted and seated right away, it was reasonably busy near lunch time. Our server Renee was awesome, shout-out to her! As far as the food, both meat-eaters and vegetarians found awesome soups, salads, and sandwiches. The elderberry lemonade is a delicious treat, and the hidden gem was the pita bread! I definitely recommend it as a side, it was so delicious and flavorful. We couldn't stay for dessert but I wish we could have. I hope to visit black mountain again so I can come back!!"
