Full Moon Oyster Bar - Clemmons

"The dinning area was hopping so I went to the empty bar section. I made my to go order, drank my martini, and waited. The bartender was spirited and fun; made me feel right at home. Within 15 minutes of me sitting down, the bar went from empty to full; which is exactly the time I needed to drink up and get my food. Soon as I left my seat it was taken. It's a middle-aged crowd, 50's & 60's, some 40's. Very lively. I got home and the the fish risotto was incredible OMG!!!"

"Great place for fresh oysters, shrimp and other seafood. Nice bar and live music. Really nice staff and shuckers. Items come with fantastic potatoes and cold slaw. Great selection of beers snd cocktails. Homemade deserts."

"GREAT experience! I visited on a busy Saturday evening as a party of 2 and we were promptly greeted and sat. The three servers (Josh, Hannah, and Mike) were all AMAZING. Super friendly and offered the best service. We ordered 1/2 dozen fresh raw oysters, 1/2 dozen chargrilled oysters, crab dip, and the shrimp and grits which were all a 10/10! We did also order calamari which was a bit on the rubbery side and came out just a tad bit cold but the flavor was good. Overall, a great experience and ambiance. I hope to return when I’m back in the area!"

"Strange experience. We loved the atmosphere! The decor is fun and eclectic. The oysters are large and meaty. The entrées are pretty average. However, the most memorable part of our experience was the staff. Starting with the bartender - Wow, she is a loose cannon. Rough around the edges. Loud. In your face. Very fragile ego. I wasn't offended by her gruffness because mental illness runs in my family, but I imagine some customers may not be so understanding. Then, there was the back waiter walking around behind the bar eating a buffalo chicken wing. It looked good! But I didn't see it on the menu. Then, there was our waitress who forgot to bring out my drink. (Thank goodness we had waters!) When she finally returned to check on us after we got our entrées, she looked at my plate and said, "That don't look right. Normally the sauce is thicker." I had to reassure her that it was still okay even though I guess it was missing ingredients in the sauce?? She wasn't sure. She just thought it looked strange. And that's the best way to describe Full Moon.. strange. You should def try it out once just for stories you'll have!"
