Twigs

"Twigs really excelled at ambiance, with nice white table clothes and twinkly lighting throughout the restaurant. Tables were spaced far enough apart that you could enjoy an intimate dinner with your table party and not overhear all the other diners' conversations, which I really appreciated. Their food was pretty good, but not as good as I expected for the price. Their fried green tomatoes were good, but thicker cut than usual and loaded with toppings; good friend green tomatoes don't necessarily need all the accoutrements. A house salad came with the entree, and I appreciated that they actually left the dressing off like I asked! The pecan-crusted trout was tasty and the fingerling potatoes were nice. My husband's crab cakes, though, were just okay, with more filler than you would expect for the price. The drinks were very affordable ($10 for a cocktail) but had very little alcohol--it was mostly a glass of ice. Service was incredibly slow, so it seemed like there was some general mismanaging going on: we had a reservation but when we arrived, it still took them nearly 10 mins to seat us. The waitress sometimes seemed to forget about us, or was overstretched, because we had to ask her to refill water and she only brought the bread service after our entrees had been delivered. Our meal, with just appetizer and entree, was 2-hours long because of the slow service. If you want to have the feel of a nice restaurant, go to Twigs! If you care more about the meal and service, I recommend trying one of the other restaurants in the area."

"We really enjoyed Twigs. The Fried Green Tomatoes were great, wedge salad, Lamb, and Tomato bisque.... ON POINT. I highly recommend this establishment! Also the service was superb. I forgot the waiters name, but he was attentive, and even told our daughter a bunch of jokes to make her laugh. All around a fantastic experience. The Creme bruele was delicious to really tie the night together."

"We had a reservation and glad for it. (Arrived 30 min early but could not be seated; we Could have sat in the bar and had dinner but we wanted a table.) the dining area had table cloth, candlelight with twinkling white lights on a twiggy lattice. Our server was busy chatting loudly with other diners, so we had ample time to review the wine list and menu/ we ordered all courses immediately a when the server arrived. The meal did not disappoint. Our meals were uniquely prepared and delicious."

"This was a good little restaurant to go to. They have 2 parts to this restaurant. You can do the fine dining side, which you need reservations for. We didn’t know this till we got there. But we were able to sit in the bar area, when seats became available. They have 2 different menus for each area. The food was really good. We ordered off the bar menu. The gentleman that waited on us was really nice & helpful. I wish I could remember his name to give him credit. The restaurant was very cute! The food was freakin delicious! If you are in the area, go check it!"

"The food was great especially the grilled chicken sauce but the service was not. We were 30minutes late because of Boone traffic after the homecoming game and eventhough we called and left a message that we would be late, they did not let us sit in the main dining area ( there were many seats available). We specifically chose Twigs for the atmosphere .I would have definitely understood if there were no seats available but why treat your customers like that when you have the solution in the next room?! Especially after having a long day of hiking,  we really didnt want to sit at the bar dining area  where they put us with the loud music when we are ordering from the same main dining area menu and paying the same price but getting a much different experience. What shocked me the most is them saying, "Next time ,book weeks in advance so you get to sit there", eventhough I had made a reservation...
