"We made a reservation for my birthday at the last minute, so only 8:30 was available. We arrived early and we got seated right away. We had a very friendly server (can’t remember his name but longer blonde hair) who was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made some great recommendations and we throughly enjoyed our meal! We had the fried mushrooms (it was a special that night) for an appetizer, and my husband had the spicy pasta dish and I had the pork tenderloin. The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked."
"Comfortable small restaurant with a menu that will make it difficult to choose because you’ll want to try everything! Service is exceptional, the cocktail menu is inventive, and the food is very good. We had the asparagus fries, the trout, and the meatloaf. We enjoyed each, and then ordered the bread pudding to share - excellent! Definitely worth a try when you’re in Blowing Rock!"
"We dined here for our first time and the food was excellent! Highly recommend! I am gluten free and had the sweet potato flatbread with figs and can’t remember what else. I added steak to it and ended up eating almost all of it. My husband helped. My husband had the pork tenderloin I believe and I had a taste of it. Extremely good."
"Stopped in Storie Street Grille in Blowing Rock for the first time after shopping, and seeing the fall leaves. The food was amazing! We were on the patio, nice atmosphere! Our waiter Jackson was awesome and very nice! I had the Falafel and it was wonderful! I will be back, nice place!"
"They’ll seat you fast but get comfortable—if you order lunch you’ll eat it for dinner! We had the pleasure of missing drink orders, absent service, and had the opportunity to enjoy the 3 hours of our day inside the walls of Storie Street grill. We came here because it had the shortest wait to be seated out of the restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. An hour in we received the correct drink orders. The whole staff was very festive & dressed up for Halloween. I wish more people were dressed as cooks to get the food ready and send us on our way. It was like we were waiting on the lettuce to finish growing before the salad came out. We were here so long we all went to bathroom atleast twice before leaving. Blackened chicken sandwich is okay once you find the chicken in the sandwich. The burger is decent as well but cookout is cheaper! Sweet potato tots taste like freezer tots with ranch poured on them. Alfredo was the best tasting canned sauce you can find. The grits under the trout have the perfect sandlike texture on your teeth as you chew. The food is okay but don’t expect condiments or drink refills before sunset! —cheers"
