"I went here in the fall of 2021 and never went back. I will give them credit for being a clean building inside and somewhat friendly staff, but this place needs some help! Even though Jefferson health had bought them out a couple years ago they cannot compare to the quality of Jefferson health in Philadelphia. I have been dealing with Jefferson Health for the last couple years and every time I try to go to a new doctors office in Sewell or Turnersville it's seriously lacking in professionalism and patient quality care. I had a problem with a bill from this gynecologist building and I called the first time and got put on hold for 15 minutes, then I hung up and tried to recall two more times and nobody would answer. Then, called the last time and finally got somebody. The receptionist was friendly but, there was so much background noise going on somebody (or 2) was laughing and talking and I truly believe the receptionist wasn't paying attention when I was trying to ask questions with all that background noise going on. I told her about my issue with the bill and they acted like they couldn't look in my file to see what test was ordered. After explaining my issue with my bill and how the doctor did not Explain the test that I got on that appointment day and if it was really covered in my insurance. And the thing is I have one more thing that I need to get done through this place and i'm still debating, because I'm afraid they're gonna mess up my bill through that. After everything is complete I'm going back to my old gynecologist. I'm so disappointed in the Jefferson Healthcare in the Sewell, NJ area."
"I had my first appointment here about a week ago for an annual check up. My OB was Maureen (Mo) and she was amazing. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable which all made my visit easy and comfortable. I appreciate even more that Mo called me the following Monday on her day off to give me my pap and lab results and was helpful answering any of my questions."
"After several visits to the ER, i was directed here for a rather large growth on my ovary. My first appointment, I was very afraid. Very much in pain. Very aware this would need to be surgically removed fast. Upon entering, and going into the exam room, i was told they have me listed as having 13 live births in their system. Normally I would have laughed but with the serverity of this visit, it was a minor red flag considering I only have 2 kids . I was told there is a possibility it is cancer, and it would have to be removed. They spoke very fast, making sure I was aware of its complexity, size, and risks up until surgery. I was offered to have a sample of my uterus taken to further provide a reason why a full hysterectomy would be needed...as I felt I was being pushed into having everything taken out. I am aware of the pain that causes, as my mom is a uterine cancer survivor. I asked what do I do when Im unable to walk later, as that is how I found out about the growth, the excrutiating pain and inability to walk. I was told to go back to the ER. The same ER who told me to see them for the pain! I denied their request for sample... in shock, that they could scare me the way they did, then ping pong me to an ER, assuming my immune system is already compromised, during a pandemic, and just allow me die in pain. I felt like a car, and they were bidding on my parts. Even telling me my uterus was small enough to robotically be removed from my vagina. Selling me on removing my reproductive organs. I appreciate a straight shooter, a doctor who is honest, but I also appreciate one who would treat me with the same care and compassion they would for their own child, or sister, or spouse....i didnt get that here. I was treated like a list of procedures and not a human who needed these women to advocate for me. I walked out assuming I would just die... that I would allow this growth to kill me before I ever stepped foot into this office again. Unfortunately that didnt work...i had to turn back around and get my drivers license and insurance card they forgot to give me back. I apologize that this was so long. I cried for days after this visit and the lack of sympathy I recieved. I was willing to take my chances with the potential cancer !!! I am lucky to have a wonderful pcp who has advocated for me 100% and I will see the new oncology dr in a few days. Please dont be scared into having your body tampered with by people who can smile in your face and watch you limp out in pain after telling you how serious the situation is, yet they refuse to treat you with dignity. Please also note, Ive been in healthcare 15+ years, and couldnt imagine being so disheartning to someone who is already in fear for their life, having panic attacks, and immobilized by pain. I wanted to expect better from Jefferson, but it seems like the same old place its known to be! The 1 star was simply because I got an appointment quickly."
"I took my teenage daughter there. They were so friendly and accommodating and helpful I switched from my much too busy to care about me obgyn immediately. I am so thankful. I was treated with the utmost care."
"The doctors there are extremely helpful and attentive. Dr. White is especially personable and cares about her patients and I leave her office feeling comfortable and cared for. The front desk staff, however, needs some work. Messages seem to get mixed up and when dealing with pregnant patients that have immediate questions, I should not be receiving answers from Alexis that go along the lines of “Which physician do you see? Oh she’s not in today, you can leave a message.” If I’m calling a practice which claims I will see every doctor before I deliver, that means I should be able to speak with the physician available about a question I found important enough to call about."
