"Thank you to your wonderful team of Doctor’s and staff. I went in feeling scared and hopeless, and left feeling better than I had in months. I will always be appreciative for all you did for myself and others. Highly recommended if anyone is sadly struggling. ❤️"
"At first I thought this place was great, until I read my discharge summary and daily notes. after a severe MDD episode and acute trauma, my daily assessments had that I was psychotic, had grandiose delusions and health delusions (when in reality I have several HEALTH ISSUES) and they diagnosed me with bipolar I based on a medication reaction, now of which is on my medical records and I’m fighting to get it removed. I asked multiple people in my life and all of which stated that this is a flat out lie (my parents who were living with me during this time) They write down what they want and it’s purely disgusting, I would love to talk to someone about this because it is shallow and degrading. If you mention you have dissociation you’re labeled psychotic, which is exactly what happened to me. I am purely disgusted with this place and the providers who call themselves NP’s and doctors."
"I would definitely recommend Princeton House, it doesn't feel like jail, the nurses and techs were absolutely amazing and treated me with respect and very well, My roommate ended up coming down with COVID-19 so she was sent home, They put me in a different room, gave me my own TV also which isn't allowed but they did it for me, the brang me all my meals to my room and snacks throughout the day! The food is absolutely delicious... Danni, Rachel, Sabrina, LuLu and Philip all went way above and beyond for me and never hesitated, I thank them so much for caring and helping the ways they did! It's so clean and ran very well, it's the best detox Ive ever been to be honest. Also met amazing people there also we all bonded together, nobody was trien to fight anybody it was peaceful and a great atmosphere!Groups were even fun, yoga, art music it was all amazing! Thank you again to The Princeton House❤️"
"No follow up from doctors. No follow up from social workers. Released my mother-in-law without notifying family while in a state of confusion. Sent her home in an uber and told no one. Even after confirming several times, we would pick her up on a specified date. Highly suggest you keep a loved one out of this facility."
"Been there 3 times total- 2015 to wean off a prescription medication, 2020 for depression after he passed away from diabetes, & 2022 to help with the crazy symptoms of coming off of a high dose of antidepressants. They've always treated me with care, for the most part a very caring staff (except in 2020 there were a few bad apples who didn't take their roles seriously- NOT the MD's or nurses, they are fantastic). Odd to say, but it literally felt like a little family, spending a week or so living together with a common 'bond' of some sort of mentality- was very refreshing. Learned a lot about people, coping skills, mindfulness, DBT, CBT, etc. Also played random mindfulness games to pass the time when the schedule was empty/watched movies at night, etc. The food was oddly amazing! We all looked forward to meal times. You get plenty of food with multiple options to fit your dietary needs which was a huge plus & pleasant surprise. You could also decide yourself if you wanted to eat down in the cafeteria or stay in your wing which was nice. Perhaps it depended on the wing, but wing 6 had this option. In addition, I received ECT treatments back in 2015 & 2020. The staff in the ECT suite were absolutely amazing- nurturing, kind, & made me laugh/feel like I mattered. Dr. Kurt Stuebben was the physician I saw both stays- & he was literally always smiling, super sweet & accommodating. He is just fantastic & takes his job very seriously- which is most appreciated. Outpatient in Hamilton has always been wonderful as well. Julia, Laura, Emily & the art therapists were top notch- as well as Dr. B. So thank you all!! I'm currently free of depression & anxiety- also on only 2 antidepressant. I asked for the bare minimum of medication & they delivered. I've been thriving ever since, so I am super grateful. HOWEVER, I see a lot of disgruntled reviews- some appear legit & had genuine issues- others, to me at least, look like individuals who didn't want to work the program/follow the rules- which is perhaps why they didn't reap the benefits of their initial treatment plan. Be a compliant patient & trust me, you will succeed. Take it seriously, because this is your LIFE. Bottom line- super satisfied with everything & appreciate all of the assistance offered with saving my life. So thank you, PH. "
