"Becoming increasingly difficult to receive timely care. Asked for an appointment for a cardiac clearance for a much needed endoscopy on 7/10/23.. the best they could do is September 17th. Hahaha We will go else where."

"I usually start by asking the phlebotomist if he or she is the best at what they do, because I have tiny little veins that are hard to find. Today I decided to be more pleasant and subtle, explaining to her that I was sure to drink water the night before, and the morning of the blood test. The young woman had an issue immediately, using a regular sized needle to poke me multiple times, moving it around inside my arm. When no blood came out, she roughly removed the needle from my arm, slammed it into a receptacle and said “ Why do you guys not have any veins?” She complained to the other phlebotomist and brought a hot pack over. She was nasty about telling me to turn my other arm over and she applied a hot pack. She then proceeded to give me a lecture about drinking more water, making reference to “guys my size” (I am overweight) having the ability to drink 2–3 bottles per day. When she began to take blood from my other arm, she had a small “butterfly” needle that she should’ve started with. Once again, she had to poke and move the needle around inside my arm multiple times. Although I was angry and wanted to have a response, I sat there quietly, and just allowed her to unload on me. That phlebotomist was unfriendly, unprofessional, and extremely poor what she does. I am 56 years old and a high school sports coach for 30+ years so I don’t need her to lecture me about the benefits of water. My whole life, I have had tiny little veins. The butterfly needle works best (maybe it should say that in my records?) I do not appreciate her poor bedside manner, which just made her lack of skill at her job even worse."

"I have been a patient for quite some time. I have health insurance through the state. I am exhausted with receiving constant text messages telling me my bills have not been paid when it is the summit medical group who has not submitted them properly to my insurance company. Today, I was told a bill that should have been sent to my insurance company is in danger of being sent to collections. Give me a break. Worse, the billing department is near impossible to get a hold of. Between my wife and I, we have spent hours waiting on hold to talk to someone who still doesn’t resolve the issue. This is insane. DO BETTER."

"Poor communication when trying to book an appointment, refill a prescription, or speak to your health care provider. Kathleen, the nurse practioner treated me very unprofessional. It's clear she needs a me tal health break as she must be over whelmed and over loaded. Summit group should see to it that their Healthcare providers are doing well. Avoid this practice all together. It's just too much stress and it's worse than going through the levels at a large hospital. Now looking for a small practice so that I can have a physician that knows me and not just notes in a chart."

"I was a patient here back before it was bought by SMG. I moved back into the area and have Dr. Barry as my primary but Dr. Beams has seen me as well. I’ve been going to these guys for over 20 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I literally chose the insurance I did so Dr. Barry could be my primary. I get nervous going to the doctor and Dr. Barry is warm, compassionate, non judgmental and just a great doctor. I feel so comfortable with him and trust him 100% to take care of anything that comes up. The last 2 times I called they got me an appointment immediately. One was a Zoom call they scheduled for 2 hours after I called and the most recent visit they got me in that day. Only had to wait a few minutes in the waiting room and they all took the covid precautions that made me feel safe. I love the entire staff. The front desk admins and the nurses are warm and kind. I’ve been to other doctor offices in the past and this office is the best. I travel over an hour to go there because they’re that good."
