"The doctor is very kind and very accommodating to people no matter what situation they are in. He is very caring and always professional. This has been my go to doctor for many years and he is an awsome person! The staff are great as well. They remember your name and face and will always treat you with respect. This is an awsome place and I recommend it to anyone who needs help with a health issue."
"If it were only Dr. Majchrzak & his staff I would’ve given this a 1-star rating, but since I see his colleague, Gastro Dr. Lippe there, I decided to give three stars since Dr. Lippe is a very caring doctor and understands what my disease can do—I have a rare disease & he’s had three patients prior to me w/the same issue. Gave me E.S. liver disease, brain damage (insomnia, mood swings, anxiety, short-term memory loss, tremors which have gone), internal bleeding, ascites, reproductive issues, rheumatoid arthritis, IBS, Gerd, HPG, neutropenia & thrombocytopenia. However, I worked hard to get better, & I’m getting there. I no longer need a liver transplant, but I’ve had pelvic pain for three years, the pain is bad, & it’s constant. My gyno knows much about my disease, as well, & she’s doing her best to help me find the problem & fix it. My liver disease/transplant team is familiar with my disease, too. I was in the MMJ program with Majchrzak, but when I needed to begin seeing my pain management doc, my PM doc said I can’t be on painkillers & marijuana at the same time bc it’s supposedly against the law. One time while visiting dr. M, I told him this, that the pain is bad & I’m suffering, after he asked why I haven’t requested an MMJ scrip in a while. I even said it wouldn’t be for long. He became angry with me to the point when I began to cry, to which he unsympathetically stated, “Oh, stop crying!”, but I told him I can’t—he’d triggered a mood swing. He’s given me referrals to several types of docs including hematologist/oncologists, neurologists, and such. A couple didn’t take my ins. & I was already seeing types of drs he recommended since I had a team of docs at a really good hospital clinic who know more about my disease than Majchrzak, as well. One day in March I wanted to make an appointment with Majchrzak, & was rudely told by the staff that he had discharged me in September—news to me! Never received a letter or a phone call. Nada. I asked why, & they rudely said I didn’t follow his orders & that I was a risk. Thing is, he never gave me orders—-recommendations, yes, but no orders, & his bad temper when I told him I needed to hold off on the MMJ scrips was no order—it was simply unprofessional. He would become impatient with me when I’d be trying to explain what was going on or a problem I was having; often I forget words due to the brain damage. Every time I’d explain things to him & wasn’t finished he’d cut me off & then pull out his tape recorder & fill in my report with misinformation, & if I tried to quietly correct the falsification he’d shush me. Besides, my liver improved, I gained weight after being skeletal, no thanks to him. I should take orders from him, then? Only thing for which I give him props is, after I returned from a diff. state where the transplant list is much shorter & was rejected by a very unethical hepatologist, we worked together to see her actions had consequences & succeeded. Was nice at first, but after a while became increasingly ill-tempered. Even if he DID give me orders, most of my other docs know more about my disease that he, so I take most of my orders from them. I’ve heard him yelling at other patients while waiting (too long). When I go to see Dr. Lippe I never have to wait long, at all. I’ve noticed there that dr. M has a heavy load of patients & I think he’s overwhelmed...he’s also seasoned, & having a ton of patients seems to be getting to him. Time to retire, if you ask me, but it’s no excuse to take his frustrations out on the patients. Now I’ve been searching for a PCP (and forget about finding another around here who’s in the MMJ program since Majchrzak has the monopoly on it) who knows about my disease & how it works, & it hasn’t been easy. I need to travel to Hasbrouck Heights now to get my MMJ scrips, which is tough for me. There are other MMJ docs around, but they charge too much for scrips & I’m on SSD. Ridiculous, since I care about my health, to drop me for being a so-called risk. Update: Scapegoating patients?"
"Love him!! hate the waiting, but I tolerate it because he's so good as what he does --I typically plan to spend a half of day there--but the plus is once he gets in the room with you--you don't feel rushed. I highly recommend!"
"Im a cancer survivor and I was recommended to Dr Majchzak’s from my pain management doctor. I’ve seen many doctors since my diagnosis and What I can say about Dr. Majchzak and his team is that they are a very compassionate, and professional team and with my first visit he has done more for me then 20 doctors over the last 5 years. It’s hard to find a good practice who can actively listen and Dr. Majchzak has definitely personalized my care and has helped me both physically and emotionally. Thank you to Dr. Majchzak and his team."
"Dr. Majchrzak is a good doctor. The staff at this clinic appears okay although at times they seemed to be taking less interest in patients' queries. Time management can be improved."
