Reviews of The Greenwich Hotel
"Tired and well past what it was. This hotel was a go to for More than a decade pre COVID. Just stayed for a weekend where the service was polite when you got it but lacking any attention to detail or initiative,. The rooms are tired, and the only thing that was reminiscent of the past was the high prices and the bowls of cheap chocolate that I figure are as old as the rooms. Time to try something new."
"We received the Amex room upgrade and were thrilled with the size of the room, including the bathroom. The pillows and towels were impressive and we have decided to purchase the same ones for our home. The service was impeccable - very responsive to email. They booked our car from JFK and back and it turned out to be a very reasonable price with excellent service. The location was convenient to a great restaurant - Giglio - and walking distance from the WTC and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The Greenwich made our trip to Lower Manhattan a great experience."
"I had a pleasure of taking photos for a wedding at this hotel and i must say that style and elegance of it are stunning ! Lots of charm and great locations to take photos inside of the hotel and in the garden. Definitely would love to shoot here again !"
"I've stayed at the Greenwich Hotel half a dozen times. Generally, service levels are very high. There is a general "famous people stay here, and you aren't one of them" from a lot of the staff. I don't love that (I suspect nobody does). But, it just means you'll be getting good service with a bit of "tude" from someone whose facial expression says that they're put out to be talking to one of the proles. Location is only alright. If you have meetings at Goldman Sachs or Citi, excellent. If you have meetings in Midtown and want to take the subway... meh. Rooms are great. They execute the boutique hotel vibe very well. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are well appointed. Sitting area/living room was almost spacious. Room service is alright. But in this neighborhood, you're making a mistake if you don't go out for dinner. Even if you're visiting on business and traveling solo. If you're asking how room service was, I'd say you're asking the wrong question. Ask for a restaurant recommendation. The gym is nice, and larger than you would anticipate. The spa is incredible. One of my favorite spas in the world. The ambiance is unique - and transports you to a different place, away from the stress and chaos of whatever brought you to the Big Apple. The service is great. My only complaint (and I'm going from memory here) is no 120 minute options for massages. Some spa say that's too long for the therapist. But, therapists at other spas seem to survive. I think more likely charging the same price for a 100 minute massage as other spas charge for a 120 minute massage makes more money. In the end, I'll still pay it - it remains one of my favorite spas in the world, despite the shenanigans."
"After some recent bad experiences at other hotels in the area we wanted to try something top of the pops and The Greenwich did not disappoint! An amazing NYC hotel experience that is understated from the outside but the service, the rooms, the whole experience is second to none. Will definitely be booking again on our next trip to the city (The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, they were out of a few key breakfast ingredients)"
