Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Midtown East

"Construction noise was terrible and started in the early AM. My bigger issue was that I requested a change of reservation the day of, and they said it was fine (by two separate front desk people). I paid with certs so was expecting a refund. When I checked the Marriot app, the reservation appeared under canceled. I took it up with corporate, who contacted the hotel on my behalf. This hotel came back and said they can't refund because 48 hour policy. Just an absolute waste of my time. Why say you can refund, if you're not going to? I'm hugely let down by their lack of organization, communication and follow through."

"Exceptional stay! The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They allowed us to check in at 10:00am since they had a room available and stored our luggage the next day after we checked out so we didn’t have to drag it around the city with us all day. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the location was perfect…just a couple of blocks from Grand Central. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip to the city."

"We visited NYC over Labor Day weekend and had a great experience at this Residence Inn. We found our one bedroom suite to be generously sized for NYC, clean, safe and with very friendly staff. Breakfast was typical for a Residence Inn; however the location on Lexington made it easy to get anywhere in the city relatively quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"Great hotel within walking distance of Central Park, Rockefeller, Times Square, etc. The room was big w king bed and sofa bed, full kitchen, large desk, nice bathroom, lots of windows. Staff was great esp Emma who helped w check in and getting our stored luggage. Note that check in is late, at 4p. We came in a little before 3 and our room wasn't ready because the ones before us had late checkout, so we couldn't clean up or change before heading out. Breakfast was great selection and very good."

"Great hotel. Quick checkin. Clean. Comfortable bed. Full kitchenette with all the utensils, pots and pans, etc. Accurate climate control. No waits for elevators. Breakfast was the best I've had for under $300/ night. We were in 315 which was a handicapped room. The view was of the brick wall next door. Very safe. Close to some great restaurants both casual and fine dining."
