"I recently visited this doctor's office for an appointment that was referred by my PCP and covered by my insurance. Despite the referral being documented by both my PCP and insurance company, the office was still processing it. I offered to pay the $30 referral fee upfront, agreeing to cover any additional cost if the referral wasn't approved by my insurance. However, the staff denied my appointment over this payment issue, even though my insurance confirmed over the phone that my visit was covered. The interaction with the front desk was disappointing. They were quite rude and showed a reluctance to engage in a constructive discussion, simply denying my visit. This approach felt detached from the principles of patient care and consideration. While I respect the office's policies, the way this situation was handled raises concerns about their approach to patient care. I believe healthcare should be more accommodating and empathetic, especially in administrative matters like this. I advise others to be cautious with this office, as my experience suggests a lack of patient-centric focus. Edit: response to business "owner" You are missing the point that my insurance and doctor both verified on the phone while I was in the office that I was covered. My insurance faxed over a approval while I was standing there. The desk then got irate and rude and said "it's processing on our end" denying me care. I appreciate the response though. Proves that I should go elsewhere. Check your fax machine my appointment was at 4pm the approval from my insurance was sent to your office at 4:05pm Your desk is the problem."

"I can’t believe the person I just spoke with on the phone to schedule my FIRST appointment. Rude as they come. First off she told me they have appointments in Feb, I told her there was availability in December online and asked why I could not be seen in December, she said that’s a convenience for people to schedule online and I could hang up and schedule online. I didn’t want to schedule online because I wasn’t sure they were in network. I proceeded to schedule an appointment for February and this rude individual asked me if I want to see any particular doctor I told her no, she scheduled me with a PA, no offense - I want to see a doctor. I told her I’d rather see a doctor and she said I didn’t have anyone in particular I wanted to see, I didn’t know I wouldn’t see a doctor. She rescheduled me with a doctor, I said ok thank you and she hung up the phone. No good-bye, nothing. I read so many comments about rude staff you would think this would have been addressed after the first post. Apparently this practice does not care how patients are treated by staff. I hope the doctors are better but I’ll never find out because I’m going elsewhere."

"Dr. Green is knowledgeable, personable and careful to review all issues with you. He is very thorough in his examinations. He imparts his knowledge and technical skill to his assistants with kindness and support. I feel very comfortable in his care and advice. The office staff at HMGS is wonderful (Maria!) and very helpful. As one ages, it's important to have at least annual examinations, because your skin doesn't forget when you were a kid, baking in the sun! Dr. Green is the best. And besides the medical literature, he reads Lisa Scottoline in his (limited) spare time."
