"I left this practice for several reasons. I wont get into their failure to correctly diagnose a simple skin condition in my baby for 5 weeks of trying. What really did it for me is that they refuse to answer a question unless you schedule a billable "telehealth appointment" with one of their nurses. For a first time mom, this is just impossible. Questions come up, and while I don't mind paying for the big ones, there is a point at which I think they're taking advantage of their patients and the insurance companies. It would have been nice if they had told me about their policy when I had the consultation with them before I had my baby. I would have found a different doctor before he was born. It's hectic enough having a newborn without having to find a new pediatrician on top of that. I have since found a nice practice in the Northwell group. All of the doctors there are great and they have a portal through which you can ask questions."
