H&R Block

"I made an in-person appointment to meet the accountant at 2:00 pm on a Friday. I arrived on time with all my original documents. After waiting for about 20 minutes the receptionist informed me that Dilela-Xixi Jackson, the accountant was running late and would not be able to meet me to do my taxes then. I was offered the option of leaving my documents so she could work on them either on Saturday or Sunday. On Tuesday I called back because I have not hear from the accountant. I got her on the phone and she assured me that she’ll be working on them that evening, and that she’ll be calling me the next day at 12:30pm. The time came and went without a word from this Dilela person. Around 6:30 pm that evening I stopped by the store to check…once again. I was told she was busy with a client and that she’ll be with me shortly. After 40 minutes, the manager asked me if I was being helped and and I told him this story. I requested my documents back, which she had on her possession, for more than 5 days. The manager returned my original documents as they were placed in the envelope 5 days earlier. Relying on H&R Block has put me 5 days behind on filling my taxes, which I expect a refund. This location is the least professional tax-filing service I have ever dealt with. Avoid them like hugging and kissing during the pandemic."
