"DO NOT USE HR BLOCK. My taxes were filed by a staff member unauthorized and without my permission. This has led to hours of me attempting to fix the situation and I still have not received my refund. Christian the manager has been unresponsive and has not returned any calls or emails. It is a large company that clearly does not care about their customers."

"Sami Ali called me a “big mouth” when I questioned why he’s asked for a $50 consultation fee when he had no answer to any of our questions. During the entire session, he has struck me as unprofessional, incompetent and rude. He asked the W-2 to be emailed to his personal Gmail claiming it’s because the firm does not want any personal information to be sent to the corporate email, go figure why his personal Gmail would be any “safer”. All the negative reviews about him turned out to be true. It’s a disgrace for H&R Block that employee of such qualifications and attitude works there."

"Horrible experience. The one star is for the front desk lady Tracy. Last year I went to a location in New Jersey. No problems. Here is a different story. As Robert looked over my taxes he asked why I didn't go back to the original person! Because I moved. Then said " you can try it".Try what I asked. He said "my information doesn't match". I asked him if needs glasses because I'm literally in your computer, did my taxes last year. Then he said while laughing "maybe you should go back to them!". I then ask him if there is something wrong with him? Why are you telling me to try it? Try what? I'm I stealing money? I'm I doing something illegal? The attitude was to much for me. I asked to speak with someone else. Sam came over and looked at the computer. Sam then asked me if I had another job during the year. I said, yes. Sam said bring both W2 forms. I said ok. I asked Sam, why is this Robert talking this way? Why is Robert telling me to try it? What am I trying Sam? I asked Sam if I am doing anything wrong? Do I have to go back to the original person? Sam said no. Sam said that Robert doesn't want to be responsible for doing your taxes! I said great, that man has rude comments and while talking to Sam, Robert was running his mouth.I told Robert I would leave a feedback review, he replied "I don't care, whatever, get out of here" Then Sam stopped talking to me in order to ask Robert to remain silent. That is when the front desk lady came over and asked me what is wrong, please explain while Robert kept making remarks. I then ask both Sam and Tracy "why is this person still talking? if I spoke the way your employee spoke, you guys would have been asked me to leave. Sam asked me to return so he could prepare my taxes. Unfortunately told them "no thanks, horrible experience" Forgot my fdny ID, return 1 week later. The front desk lady took my contact information because she said sometimes people forget their ID. I told her that Robert has my ID. So theft is added to my complaint"

"Sami Ali prepared my taxes on Feb. 28, 2022. I did not receive my State refund and when I called and left a message in April, 2022 he never returned my call. I was told by some clerk Covid has delayed the returns. Now, I am being told by the State they are doing an audit. I have tried 3 times to speak with someone and have reached 1 person from another location telling me the 571 Second Avenue location is CLOSED for the season and the phones were being forwarded. She said she would “get a message” to the manager who would call me. That was a week ago. No one has called me back. I intend to expose and pursue my claim of negligent incompetence. People should not be paying money for a tax service and be left hanging. Stay away from H & R Block."

There were both very courteous and professional and carefully went through all of our paperwork to make sure we can each get the best possible returns.
