"Completely Unprofessional My daughter just started going there and it seemed all was ok. Then I canceled an appointment via their text messaging system. Sarah the therapist called me for the appt and I told her I canceled it prior. She looked it up and agreed. The very next week I got a call at 5:08 pm where are we? (ALL of my appts thus far have been for 6pm.) I said I had a 6pm appt and she said she had 5. I explained I get off work at 5 and would not schedule that. I explained by the time I get there, it would be a 15 min. appt. She said ok we will see you next week. She NEVER said they were going to charge my credit card. Probably 3 mins after hanging up, I get an alert to my credit card that there is a charge. I immediately called them and left numerous messages. When initially meeting with Sarah, she explained they give you a one time waived missed appt but after the onetime there would be a charge. Considering the last appt was their fault, I considered if anything, this time would be my one time. I texted the therapist and she never responded. I left many messages. The following Monday, I emailed Danielle who agreed with me after she looked into the situation. Danielle said she saw I canceled the one appt on the text service (which I have proof of) and sees that all my appts are for 6. She also said that she thinks it should be waived. She would talk to the office and get back to me. Danielle then called back to say Sarah offered to not charge me if I brought my daughter to an appt that day. I could not make it but asked would it be fine applying it to next Mondays appt? She then said she would have to reach out to the director. Well, I get a call today that the director told her its up to the therapist and she said no. Sooo Sarah was willing to apply my charge to Thursdays appt but not Mondays? Money hungry much? I am so sad that this is they way they conduct business. I was really hoping my daughter could get help here. This office clearly takes advantage of clients and is all about the money. If I was willing to schedule an appt that week so they can bill my insurance, it would have been ok. But not to wait till Monday - 4 DAYS LATER!! I never gave them authorization either to charge my card. Disputing with my credit card company as we speak. Sad..."
"Unfortunately, I cannot even give a 1 star rating because we never got to see the counselor my daughter was scheduled to see. I was told when I first called to make an appointment that the counselor was not taking anymore evening appointments. So, I accepted a 10 am appointment. We were looking forward to our daughter getting comfortable with a counselor and to hopefully start on the road to feeling better. My husband took a day off from work (he has only a limited number of days to do so) and I took my daughter out of school. At 9:15 on the morning of our appointment (just as we were about to leave to go) I received a voicemail from the "office manager" Danielle stating that my daughters 10 am appointment is being cancelled because the counselor is "out of the office." They went on to say that she had openings for the very next day if we wanted to reschedule. There was no "we apologize for the inconvenience" or any apology at all for that matter. We immediately called back after hearing this to see if there was any other counselor we could see that day. We got their voicemail and left a message to please call us back ASAP. Unfortunately we did not get a call back so I called them again 2 hours later to request a note for my daughters school. I again spoke with the office manager. It was at that time I was told that the counselor was sick but still was NEVER offered an apology. I was asked at that time if I wanted to reschedule. The answer was an unequivocal "no.... I dont think this is a good fit for us" AND STILL NO APOLOGY!! A word of advice... if your title is "office manager" learn how to be compassionate!! This is a place where people are supposed to go to feel better...right? ***To Casey, the person who wrote a 5 star review right after my 1 star review.... I appreciate your compassion for what my family went through. That was more than I got from Danielle the "office manager". My daughter was very disappointed that the appointment was cancelled. She is 12 and had been looking forward to it ever since we made the appointment. However, I understand that things can happen. I am a professional myself and my day also goes by scheduled appointments. There have been times when I became ill and appointments needed to be switched around or even cancelled. I want to be clear that was not my issue. My issue is with the UNPROFESSIONAL, DISCOURTEOUS, UNCARING attitude that Danielle handled this situation with. It is mind boggling that she did not once show any consideration for my daughter. Best of luck to you. I'm glad you found someone who cares and has made a difference in your life."
"I am not reviewing because they just recently got a 1 star review. To that person and their family I am sorry to hear what has happen. I just want to say though that since I have been going to Life Prep, Nicole is amazing. I wish I would have sought therapy earlier in life. I am now almost 30 and have been going through the worst of times. If it wasn’t for Nicole and Life Prep I would still be lost. I will forever be thankful for what she has done and is doing. Thank you so much Nicole you are a life savor and an amazing person. I hope others will make that first step and become better. Remember at the end of the day you are not alone and don’t ever give up. Thank you once again Nicole for who you are and what you do. Sincerely -Casey"
