"I was told when I was hired that I would receive a sign on bonus. This never happened. When asked how I would like to be supervised, I stated via email, which they responded to, and once I began working, I was never provided supervision (not even told who my specific OT supervisor was). I was asked to have (unpaid) meetings in the evenings and days offs (holidays) for discussions that could have been simple emails. I had a paid work training on August 17. I did not receive my first paycheck until October 13. They pay once per month, but I waited 2 months to receive anything. During school scheduling, I was paid 3 hours (it took much longer). The individual from the company that was supposed to meet me was 30 minutes late. As the on site supervisor gave me a tour of areas of the school I needed to know, the individual from TPP took this as an opportunity to ask multiple irrelevant questions about the school for a potential high school for her kid and used my scheduling time as a parent info session. I ended up taking the schedules home to complete on my own. I have worked with two other contractors for school-based practice and was paid either weekly or bi-weekly. I was not told I was paid monthly when I asked when originally hired. An email was sent out stating that we all needed to check our emails at least 1x/day. That same day, I emailed the same person that sent that email asking a question. I had to resend that email 4 days later (all weekdays) to receive a response. During the training, we were told the negative experience we would have if we worked directly with the Department of Education (meanwhile this company is contracted with them). I have never worked for a company that openly criticized another organization during the orientation. There are plenty of better, honest, and trustworthy contracting companies in the NYC area, but this is not one of them."
"My autistic stepson started going there for therapy and things seemed to be going alright, until they decided that they couldn’t deal with his tantrums anymore and basically cut him off from his services with them. They want to blame it on “inconsistent attendance” but mind you we’ve been adjusting to the new routine with him and he only gets seen 3 times a week and the days we’ve missed were primarily sick days. If we’re a little late, we understand he’d miss out on those minutes, but my wife wanted to work with them and he was always very excited to go. This one particular day he throws a major fit because he doesn’t want to leave so they have my wife come in to try and calm him down, but with his condition it can be difficult to find a soothing tactic that’s fast and effective, and so the therapist turns to her and says “we can not have this” as if we want our son to act wild and out of control ourselves, so now we’re confused because they’re supposed to be therapists who can help your child no matter how bad the tantrums may get, but apparently they want to take the easy route of getting paid and only help kids who are mildly autistic with more tolerable behaviors because when we left my wife gets a message not too long afterwards from them telling her that they can’t accommodate our boy anymore even though he’s already accommodated with them because he has a schedule set with them, so tell me how that makes sense?! It doesn’t. So long story short, they just don’t want to deal with our child because of his behavior and need an excuse because they can’t say that on paper so they’re going to blame it on attendance. My wife was happy his therapy sessions were back-to-back at this one location and she had no intentions of stopping his services, so tell me how it even makes sense for them to cancel on you instead of the other way around? My mind is blown, but we aren’t comfortable with our son being seen by therapists who don’t have genuine intentions on helping our son grow through his autism and developmental delays. They should be ashamed of themselves, but it’s ok now we know how they are there and we’ll take him to a place with therapists who actually know how to help autistic kids and who really care."
"My daughter has been receiving speech and language therapy at Perfect Playground for a little over a year now. During that time, we have had only wonderful experiences. The SLP (Nicole M.) is phenomenal and compassionate. Since the start, my daughter has made significant progress with her speech skills. She motivates my daughter to perform at her best while having fun. I highly recommend Perfect Playground."
"My family’s experience with the perfect playground has been nothing short of incredible! The staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate our schedules to make bring our child to therapy easier. The therapist are so caring it’s like an extended member of our family. I would also like to add that the facially is very well maintained and kept spotless. Thank you for putting our minds at ease with your professionally run business."
"I have had many personal interactions with the Perfect Playground, all of which have been extremely pleasant and professional. The firm is very organized and the administrative staff very nice and helpful. They have flexible schedules which relieves personal stress for my hours and their rates are very competitive to that of other therapeutic providers. I found the other therapists to be empathetic to the children and skilled at their craft. One added bonus that you do not always find in therapy clinics, which you will find at the Perfect Playground, is their attention to cleanliness and sanitary behavior. A great company for therapists looking to build their career. 5 star rating"
