"Quiet, serene, and full of birds! We walked the whole drive (it was closed when we got there around 8:30 AM). The 8 mile loop took about 5.5 hours. Thousands of snow geese and a variety of ducks and shore birds. Beautiful place in any season!"
"This place has an 8 mile drive along raised berms around and in between freshwater and saltwater areas. I went to photograph birds and it did not disappoint! I captured images of no fewer than a dozen birds that I had not previously photographed. I even took a second loop through simply because there was so much action. The juxtaposition with Atlantic City on the horizon was also kinda interesting for landscape images. Highly recommend if you like to view and photograph a wide variety of birds."
"Weather hot in mid 90's however nice breeze at the visitor center for a picnic lunch. Eight mile loop drive with car's a/c made it a great birding spot. Caspian Teens, Black Skimmers, Great Egrets, Swans and the ever growing Cormorant population led the day. Some ospreys are still at nests. Turtles sightings are possible. Remarkable place with Atlantic City skyline in the distance. Great day trip from LBI or other NJ shore points. The self pay $4.00/car entrance fee to drive the loop and free walking trails make it the affordable spot for families. If hiking bug spray is suggested. Binoculars are great to have but not necessary to enjoy."
"We loved driving this place slowly when the weather was nice. Went with picnic food and drinks and just took our time exploring. There were some bugs out there so big spray and keeping the windows closed helps a lot. Saw lots of birds and the AC skyline looked great in the distance. Highly recommend if the weather is nice."
"This is an amazing place that is hidden in plain sight with a great view of Atlantic City. It is a great place to see all types of birds in season. There is a one-way scenic drive through the park. Bring a good pair of binoculars and a camera with a good zoom lens. Insect repellent is a good idea as well. There are some good short hikes here as well. There is a $5.00 park fee if you do not have NP. pass."
