"I came here to explore TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatment option with a friend who has struggled with resistant depression for many years and was at a point in her life when nothing seemed to work. We met with Dr. Fradkin who explained to us how this non-invasive method works scientifically, what type of conditions respond to the treatment and what are the side effects (good news - none!!). We were very impressed with Dr Franklin's bedside manner, his patience, his tenure and his overall competence. Inna, the TMS "nurse", demonstrated the room where the treatment takes place and the machine itself (unfortunately, no pictures). This is of course a relatively new, break-through approach in Psychiatry so my friend is both nervous and excited, but we will keep you posted after she's had at least several sessions. Feeling very hopefull!!"
