"Through the vast amount of therapists that I have come across since starting therapy at the young age of six, I have never come across such an arrogant, judgemental, demeaning person such as Dr. Miele. His talk therapy is ridiculous and his replies are insensitive, rude, and in my opinon as a Social Worker undergrad at Rutgers Newark, his advice tests the boundaries of NASW code. He should feel fortunate I didn't actually report it, which many of my advisers said I should of. As social workers, we are taught that it is of utmost importance to recognize and amplify the postive qualities of our clients while working together to solve personal issues and improve said clients lives. After the second therapy session with Dr. Miele (in which I brought my significant other in to discuss my ROCD issues), he belittled me. He distinctly stated to my bf that "I sound like I am "double trouble" with a capital T and why would you want to be with someone like her?" Dr. Miele then went on about how problamatic of a person my mental illnesses seems to make me (based off our initial therapy session) that I may never change and repeated the same rhetoric of why would by bf want to even bother with this. That I am essentially a headache and if Dr. Miele was in my boyfriends position, he wouldn't deal with it. I couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth and I became so livid but held my tongue and kept my composure. He completely belittled me and made me feel that I am unworthy of love and incapable of healing/changing. He wrote me off before he even knew anything about me beyond the initial 45 minute session prior to this one. Afterwards I left and burst out in tears, feeling defeated, defective and hopeless. Dr. Miele is a basic "talk" therapist who lacks the experience that makes someone good at their job. In my opinon, he has no soul for the job and I think he should rethink his field. Shame on Dr. Miele for such discouraging and unethical "advice" and judgements. You are absolutely a terrible therapist and I can only imagine that others may have gone through similar experiences. A lot of people have a hard time making a commitment to even giving therapy a try. When therapists like yourself deal with clients they way you did with my case, you're only feeding into the negative experiences that scare away those who are trying to get the deserving help they need. I suggest anyone interested in trying out this therapist not to waste your time, but if you do, I assure you will see what I am talking about."

"Dr. Miele is extremely kind, open minded and professional. He makes sure you feel safe which is very important to me. Living with anxiety disorders and ptsd is hard but having him to talk to really helps. He gives great advice and is truly a great listener. I highly recommend Dr. Miele! He truly cares about his patients."
