"The field is the size of a golf course. The stage is magnificent (could use an upgrade), lots of bands play in the summer, the park comes with a gym and swings, slides etc for kids. Great for jogging but also great for inspiration if you're an actor. It's very quiet and empty when not in use. β₯"
"Good place. Nothing crazy special about it, but good. It has all sorts of different trees, some were even brought from World Trade Center site. It has a lot of benches, tables for chess games, playground for kids and even a small area for workouts. There some bird houses there and lots of squirrels. It has an interesting history too: The park was originally known as Seaside Park, and was one of the earliest beach resorts in Coney Island. It was opened in 1875, and quickly became a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The park featured a variety of attractions, including a bandshell, a carousel, a roller coaster, and a swimming pool. In the early 1900s, Asser Levy Park began to decline in popularity. The park's attractions became outdated, and the neighborhood around it began to deteriorate. In the 1960s, the park was closed for a time due to safety concerns. In the 1970s, the city began to revitalize Asser Levy Park. The park was renovated, and new attractions were added, including a playground, a basketball court, and a handball court. The park was also renamed after Asser Levy, a Dutch-Jewish merchant who was one of the first Jewish settlers in New York City."
