"I recently visited La Bagel and had an excellent experience. The jalapeno cream cheese added a delightful kick to the fresh bagel, creating a perfect blend of flavors. The bagel itself was soft and had that ideal chewiness, a testament to its freshness. The bold and spicy notes from the jalapeno cream cheese paired wonderfully with the subtle sweetness of the bagel. To complete the meal, I ordered a cup of coffee, which was a great choice. The coffee was rich and complemented the bagel perfectly. The overall atmosphere at La Bagel was pleasant, and the service was prompt and friendly."

"The staff is rude. I've been going here for years because it's around the corner, putting in simple orders, tipping well, and being polite. They're impatient and they make rude faces at customers. I've noticed that this is double true with gay customers, staff going so far as to comment negatively on customers' dress and appearance; i.e., this establishment is homophobic."

"Great food but horrible service and execution. They need to have two lines… one for people ordering and one for pickup orders. It’s that simple, I saw numerous people cutting the line while waiting to pickup my order. There is no order of business and the staff looks and acts pretty miserable. "I'm really torn about this review because I've been to this restaurant a total of three times. The first time was a few years ago and I don't remember loving it. But, upon a few recommendations more recently, I decided to give it another try. In the past couple weeks, I came here twice and both experiences were different. The first time I came, the bagel was really amazing; it had a crispy outside and soft inside, it was large in size, and tasted very fresh. The second time, I came back, again around the same time in the morning, and the bagel was smaller and not as crispy or fluffy. Both times I ordered the same thing which was an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Even the cream cheese was different the second time...there were barely any scallions the second time and the cream cheese just tasted very plain. I'm confused about the consistency of the two experiences but I'll be back again since it's so close to where I live, I think I'll give it a few more tries before I decide to either become a loyal customer or abandon hopes of it being good, consistently. This earned three stars from me purely because I did really enjoy my bagel the first time. I am hoping the second time was a fluke and that the bagels will be really fresh again next time I visit."
