"Eco-Tax changed my return after it was filed and did not notify me of the changes. I moved that year and the notices never reached me. Interest and penalties added up and I now owe almost $1300. The CPA has spent more time trying to avoid my calls and change documents to make the mistake appear to be my fault. When I asked for my return, the total owed matches what I paid. It was days later and a few phone calls to the state Department of Revenue that I the conclusion was made that my return had been changed. Instead of owning up to changing it after I had paid and not telling me, they are trying to blame me for not checking their portal. I let their company go because the system they use is not customer friendly and causes undu stress for tax season. I made the mistake of believing that the excessive price they charged was to cover when they made a mistake and protect me from their accidents. Apparently they are unwilling to make things right when they make a mistake."
