Dr. Juanita K. Huggins, DO

"November 23, 2021 was my intended first ever exam with Dr. Huggins for an annual exam. When I called to make the appointment at least a month prior, the receptionist did not inform me that the office had recently moved locations, and was not at the address listed on google. There was also never a reminder phone call, text, or email letting me know their location. Naturally, I followed the google directions and arrived at their previous Virtua location. I found their previous office (along with the name plate STILL next to the door), but the door was locked and it was dark inside. Panicked, I entered a nearby physicians office and inquired where the gynecologist’s office had gone. One told me they had moved to the building next door. I nearly ran out of the building so as not to be late to my appointment with Dr. Huggins. I found the correct office and walked in 13 minutes late. One of the receptionists, a woman with light hair to her chin, a surly attitude, and her mask under her nose, told me I was 15 minutes late and would not be seen. I was shocked! First of all, two women were ahead of me so I would have had to wait anyway, she talked down to me and berated me for being all of 15 minutes tardy (it was really 13), even though I explained the situation thoroughly. I also explained that I had been having problems and it was important for my health that the doctor see me. On top of everything, the entire drive was an hour and a half round trip. This was all stated. The woman just looked down at me and had the gall to ask when I’d like to reschedule. Never! My guess is that because my appointment was later in the day, the receptionist wanted to go home. Shame on this office for have zero compassion. I could only hope that Dr. Huggins herself would NOT be okay with her employee’s cold actions. Lia Russo Merighi"
