Deal Lake OB

"Would not recommend to any woman especially women of color. I planned on having a natural unmedicated birth and my whole pregnancy went fine. Towards the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy my blood pressure elevated and I was told I needed to be induced. I was told due to me being African American my risks for preeclampsia were high. I got a second opinion from another doctor and after evaluation I was told I do not need to be induced. The 2nd doctor informed my doctors at deal lake Obgyn and the request was ignored. I explained I have white coat syndrome and toward the end of my pregnancy I was getting very excited at visits. I did not have any of the other preeclampsia symptoms. Diet change or further evaluation was not discussed from the deal lake obgyn doctors. They kept pushing for me to get induced for the health of my baby and I was getting very scared. I had a urine Analysis and was told I had protein in my urine after retesting they found that this was a mistake they made. They never called me to tell me they made this mistake and that there was no protein in my urine. I had to call myself. Out of fear I agreed to get induced ( and bc I was a first time mom). Dr. Herron came to my delivery room to break my water and left. I never seen her again after that. A random doctor from the hospital delivered my baby. I had to explain everything to them because they did not have my medical history. My labor was very painful and uncomfortable due to forced induction. I had no choice but to get the epidural and sadly I had no support from the doctors at deal lake obgyn. I now am pregnant with my second child and am delivering at a birth center and my experience has been amazing. I am well informed and have the opportunity to discuss and customize my birth experience. Deal Lake never discussed my birth options or natural remedies that are available to cope with pain during labor. It feel like they do whatever is more lucrative and convenient for them. I feel the only reason I was forced to be induced is to accommodate their schedule. I do not recommend Deal lake Obgyn to anyone, especially women who want to be well informed and comfortable during labor."

"Awful. Confused and disorganized front desk didn’t understand my request for support around a high risk pregnancy. I wanted to like this place since a friend said they were good for iud removal. The woman told me the doctor would “review my case” then left a message they wouldn’t see me with zero explanation (I am a straight forward case). If you want people who know what’s going on go elsewhere."

"Dr Herron is the best doctor I have ever been to. Her empathy and sympathy is out of this world!!! Just amazing. She always makes you feel better about any concerns you have and genuinely cares. Also front desk woman is another amazing person who is always so kind. And finally Gabby. Just love those 3 and their amazing care. thank you for everything you do ladies!"

"Everyone in this office is so helpful and amazing. I am pregnant with my first born and so excited. After going to another office and having HORRIBLE service i knew i had to find a new office. I am lucky enough to have found this office. Everyone is so helpful!! When ever i have a question and or concern i call right away to speak with a Dr. and feel much better. They don't make you feel like your bothering them at all. I called with back pain they recommend what to do to help ease pain, AND on top of that called me next day to see how i was feeling!! I highly recommend this office, all the staff is nothing short of AMAZING!! So happy I found them!!"
