"I recently visited this location. I had a prepaid card that was expired, but had a balance recently put on the card where I had no way to get my money off the card without sustaining a lot of cost without sustaining a lot of cost and headache. A customer service rep (Mia) was able to help me get this done in an efficient manner without all the hassle. This was a unique benefit for me. Usually there is little to no good service in NYC. Mia helped me regain faith by letting me know theres still some business that have employees tgat are willing to proactively help. I believe that Mia is an asset to your company as a businessman myself for more than 22 years, so I know business and value . I really appreciate the help and service that was provided, the phone service option was a dead end. Thanks Mia!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

I highly recommend this place if you are looking to cash your checks. Just allow extra time. Due to the volume of costumers, waiting tend to be long, no more than 15 min though."
"Because Of a terrible and traumatic experience at this particular Pay o.matic..I am no longer a customer after being with them for at least ten years. Cashier refused to refund me my Money Order. They claimed that it looked like something else was written on it. Despite me being the PURCHASER and having the original receipt, money order stub, identification card, and the Excella Card that was used to purchase the Money Order. The money order was intended for my landlord in which it was no longer needed. I was currently facing an eviction with my three children..I had no other monies. Except the money order. Upon being evicted from my home...I had to struggle to provide diapers and necessities for my children. i entered a homless shelter with absolutely no money. My belongings from storage was thrown out due to non payment. My children lost their clothes and toys. My phone was disconnected. I had no way of getting my daughter to and from school. I was able to go to a bank and explain what happened. They agreed to cash it for me, but I had to open an account. Unfortunately I didn't have a valid DMV issued ID. I had to wait until my Welfare Case was active before I could receive cash assistance. With that money I was able to get a new DMV ID and Finally get my money order refunded into my new bank account. I would have contacted western union...but refund requests are written only, not a trust worthy method. And where were they going to mail the check if I'm homeless? By grace of God my children are ok. I cannot get back our belongings or erase the pain and suffering we endured. I truly believe that the refusal to give me a refund was racially motivated. The cashier looked at me and my money distastefully. I truly believe had a been a hispanic customer the transaction would have went along cordially. I will be seeking a lawyer for the pain and suffering and discrimination against me. never ever again will I have ANY dealings with Pay O Matic or its affiliates."
