"Really great gym! Cleanliness is exceptional, and equipment availability is very good. The members are pleasant, and the staff is friendly and eager to please. All of their spaces are very thoughtfully designed, from weight deck to locker room to sauna to co-working space. The cost is significant, but not the most expensive in the area. There’s an overwhelming amount included in the membership. It’s hard to imagine a better gym experience, even at a higher priced option."
"I came to visit this so-called luxury gym. Yeah, feels like a resort at first and the facilities look impressive. I've read past reviews where it gets to be pack from members who lived in the building above. And I heard they only pay half-price for the steep monthly membership fee of $238. I want to do a trial period except they want me to deposit $ 400 plus upfront. If I decide to cancel, they will refund the whole amount. SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM. From the other negative reviews I have read, this gym is not worth the money. I'm off to Equinox..."
"I came to this gym today via a friend's guest pass. I get around on an e-wheel, and have done so for the last 4 years. I'm very active within the city, going to restaurants, retail stores, gyms, bookstores, cafes, etc, but today was the first time in those 4 years that I was told I had to leave my wheel outside. No one in their right mind would leave such an expensive thing that could easily be carried off on a NYC street (locked or otherwise), so to me, I was effectively being told to leave the gym, after already using the guest pass. More and more people are using personal electric vehicles as their primary mode of transportation, so they need to come up with an actual solution, like every other business in NY has, because this isn't something that's going away."
"I've tried a few different gyms in the neighborhood & Chelsea Piers is definitely the best one. I do best with small groups & working with instructors so I love their wide variety of classes. They offer classes pretty much round the clock too. When I workout on my own I never usually have to wait for equipment. Everything is modern & clean. I love the locker room facilities too-- very spacious (& complimentary razors, combs, deodorant, hairspray, mouth wash, etc) so I can take my time getting ready for work in the morning."
"An excellent fitness club. I’ve originally signed up because of the pool and steam room, but they also have great group classes: boxing, strength training and hot yoga are my favorite. The staff is incredible - always friendly and ready to assist. While the price gave me pause at first, now I can say that my membership here is worth it. Highly recommended!"
