"The store is set up so you have to rely on the employees for any kind of help they don't sell a comprehensive pool test kit because they want you to bring in water so they can test it and up sell you on everything I realize that some people actually scratch that most people don't want to deal with the pool so they rely solely on the advice that the employees give them The problem is is everything is so overpriced you feel like you're being scammed. I searched for most of the things that I needed on Amazon and I was able to even paying the additional price of overnight shipping it was still 40% cheaper than what he was selling it for. This really sucks because this is why these stores go out of business and we are stuck relying on online shopping I realize that the place isn't open 24/7 a year they have a certain amount of months to make their money but you have to find a happy medium between decent pricing and straight ripping customers off"

"Walked in and picked up about $300 worth of chemicals. Was going to get one more thing, but needed help to make sure I was getting the correct one. I wanted to ask the store owner (short guy with a mustache who kind of looks like a skinny mario), who was busy with another customer, since the young woman working there didn't know about it. I told her to let him know that I would like to speak to him after he was done with that customer. She did and his reply was "I don't know why he wants MY help." Umm, because I have a question that your employee can't answer! He finishes up with that customer, and then starts helping another who literally walks in while the other customer is walking out. And here I am waiting with $300 worth of product on the counter. So I politely ask if he can help me when he has a free moment, and he responds with eye rolls and dirty looks (not too different from a teenage girl), as well as major attitude about how he's already helping someone, don't I see he's busy, and that he doesn't know anything about what I need help with! DUDE...it's your store! I left the products on the counter and walked out. This is not the first time the same guy has been condescending, rude, or dismissive to me or my family. I just have returned anyway due to the proximity to my home. I no longer will. In an age where brick and mortar retail has to compete with its cheaper, more convenient, online counterpart, it boggles my mind that people with zero customer service would own a retail store. In this one trip I was going to spend over $300, and in previous seasons have spent $1000-2000 over the course of the season. I, instead, opted to go to Pacific pool a short ride away, where the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and in the future will probably just buy my chemicals online. I will never be back to this Leslie's."
