"Between the police staff in the building & the front office staff I can’t tell which is worse. The ladies in the office are a bunch of liars & soooo rude I would never put my child in this school. How you don’t know what teachers you guys have in this school?! You guys really need to evaluate your office staff & rethink what kind of officers you have in the building. If I could give you guys no stars I would!!"
"For everybody that says this is a terrible school, too bad. It’s basically the only public, and religious friendly school around. Everybody is diverse, and sure, bad things go on. But it’s a middle school/high school, and you can’t have THAT MANY teachers supervising. The honors program is great, and the teachers are usually fun to work with. @Anna Klein - the reason the the principal dressed like that was because all teachers try to be “in the lingo”. Kids are running in the hallways - wow, kids, being wild? That’s something only a private school is going to offer... let your kid live! When they get a job, not everything will be orderly. In pricey schools, you don’t have much freedom. RKA has good pride weeks too."
"this school is not as good as they make it seem. i have been here for almost 3 years and it has been the worse years i have ever had tbh. this school has some teachers that are nice and helpful but the rest of the staff sucks. and this is coming from an AP student. the staff is so rude with us kids and they dont help with problems at all. they say they have no tolerance for bullying however bullying is one of the biggest problems in this school and you can include the staff in that. you can forget it if you have a small bladder.. the teachers will not let you go to the bathroom at all. all they know how to say is "you should've ask your last teacher" like really they told me the same thing. Its pathetic. this school is a joke, the staff is a joke, the kids are a joke, everything about it is a joke, and its a shame. to much drama and fighting in this school. look if you really care about your child send them somewhere else. i am telling you this so you dont have to see your cild become a drone in doing homework, depressed, angry, negative, etc. i wish my parents would listen and take me out and put me in a better school. so while you have the opportunity, try to find a better school. this year im gonna try to find a better school. i would go on but this is already longer then intended to be. (unfortunately i had to rate it one star, lol)"
"If you have a child that can handle having to walk in 2 minutes from one class to another. If you have a child who has a big bladder, because kids are forced not to go to the bathroom, That is so bad for your kidneys. If you have a child who is a drone in doing homework, If you have a child who does not have any learning disabilities, if you like a school where you have to battle it out to get help. If you like a school where your child gets bullied and if you like a school where you see your child go academically in less than 2 years ruined, if you like for your child to be depressed. I guess this would be the school for your child. If not I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for the schooling of your child."
"I've never been so happy and excited that my son is on his way out. Although there are several excellent teachers who have really helped and support him, the principal (as has been spoken of in the past) avoids any possible conflict if a parent has a question or concern. As an educator and adult, why would you avoid me as a parent of a student? Isn't that counterproductive? You will get the basic generic answer, which is probably why so many parents do not bother to say anything. Might it be the socioeconomic situation of the parents? Maybe those from lesser means or not as articulate, or perhaps just don't give a crap about their kids -- could that be it? While they impress upon the minds of the parents to speak up, attend the bogus "Coffee with the Principal", etc... you will not get any support if you do, especially if it goes against their line of thinking. But I shouldn't stop at RKA, I would guess the Dept of Education is what promotes that, so of course, as in any business, as long as the person is running it, able to sweep the dead bodies to the side, and make everything appear okay, then we'll take it!"
