"**EDIT** I contacted the email below months ago and no one ever responded. I actually this place another chance with a different location and different provider. I always pay out of pocket since it is cheaper than insurance. They charged my insurance and my portion is double the out of pocket cost. I am now going back and forth trying to have them alter this, as I did not agree to have them charge insurance. Really ridiculous!!! Too bad no one responded from the email address that was provided-really just sad treatment of children and parents who are already struggling! Original review: I traveled about an hour to see the doctor here, who was always great during appointments. When I needed refills for my son's medications, or had questions in between appointments, the staff was responsive. However the last time we had an 8:15am appointment scheduled for 30 minutes. We arrived on the floor late (8:26am) due to heavy traffic that morning (mind you I left my house at 7:15am). I was told they would not see my son. I am a mental health practitioner and always accommodate my own patients, especially if I know they traveled that far with a young child. I would have still seen them, but ended the appointment at the scheduled end time. I am very disappointed and disheartened. I totally understand that late patients can back up treatment for the day, however I would have been happy with 10 min. just to update on his situation. Needless to say, I will not be back due to the lack of empathy. I had taken off of work, had my child late to school, and traveled another hour back home for nothing. The lady at the front desk was very nice and called their office closer to my home to receive approval to switch to. In the past, I had asked someone else the same question and they told me I could not switch to a closer location and would have to wait a year for an appointment."
"I had set-up an appointment for my daughter. We were on a list that said to expedite the appointment and this appointment hinges on following up with another doctor. I made the appointment over the summer, because I teach. They canceled the morning of the appointment. Since I had taken off (teaching summer school), I lost money because I didn't work. Additionally, when called to reschedule, there were no appointments available. So I am on this list and still do not have an appointment availability. If I go on a list for other locations, I lose my spot at the current place. As patients, we get charged for last minute no shows, but when it is done to us, there is not even I am sorry, let's see if we can get you in with another doctor. In another instance, at the same location, I saw a doctor here and we needed to follow-up and get appointments in OT, PT, and neurology and it has been almost three months. No call to set-up an appointment, no schedule or follow-up. They might have good doctors and we moved here specifically because they partner with our doctors back in California, but this is probably one of the worst places I have ever been to in terms of administration and management. They have no regards to their patients or the families they affect."
"We have the pleasure of seeing Dr Martin with both of our children. Our daughter is on the spectrum and both Dr Martin (pediatrician) and Dr Richard's (neurologist) have been so helpful, kind and gentle with our children. They really listen to us, and take our feelings about treatment into consideration, when making a plan. We wouldn't want anyone else treating our children. We love them!!"
"I absolutely love Dr. Martin! She is such a kind, intelligent doctor who truly cares about her patients. Our 10 month old son is special needs with a very long list of complex medical problems. Dr. Martin thinks outside the box, checks in on us even on days we don’t have appointments, what doctor does that? She’s fantastic. If it wasn’t for another special needs mom recommending this facility I probably wouldn’t have known better to come here. Also, the staff is wonderful. Every time we come everyone is so kind and always asking what they can help with. We have so much on our plate, it’s nice to know there are people who really care about us."
"We had a horrendous experience here. They robbed us of over a year of time out of our young son's life. We could have been helping him instead of wasting our time with them. We had a terrible experience with this facility. We waited 6 months for an appointment with a doctor. That appointment was canceled a few hours before the appointment. I was told we'd be able to get fast tracked for another appointment. We had to wait ANOTHER 6 months, making it a ONE YEAR wait for our initial appointment. We arrived a little early for the appointment and proceeded to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. When were finally seen by the doctor she said "Sorry for the wait but those people really needed to be seen." The "doctor" then proceeded to inform me that she wouldn't do the test that we had waited a year for and instead would administer another test. The doctor had an extremely heavy accent and my son couldn't understand half of what she was saying, requiring me to essentially translate the majority of the test - which skewed the results. We couldn't even complete the test and had to return to finish it. After completing the test and making a diagnosis, she gave me the worst possible parenting advice a doctor could possibly give. SHE TOLD ME WE SHOULD HIDE HIS DIAGNOSIS FROM HIS SCHOOL. We followed her advice for a few months, leading to a complete train wreck at school. When I canceled his follow up meeting, an administrator reached out to me and said something would be done about our experience. Nothing was done. I later logged on to the patient portal to find NO MENTION of that doctor on my son's records. Instead, another doctor's name was entered into his records. I later found out this doctor was a fellow and no longer with the hospital. When I pressed an administrator about this inconsistency in the records, she ghosted me. We're finally getting him properly evaluated, no thanks to this practice."
