"My friend and i stopped in here on 7/23 to buy an vape before leaving the island, and I have to say it wasn’t a great experience. Let preface this by saying both my friend and i recently turned 21 and still have vertical IDs. Before we even walked into the store there was a family with two small children blocking the door because they wanted to pet the store corgi. Fine whatever, It seemed a little inappropriate but the lady at the front desk didn’t seem to care at all. Once we got up to the front desk she helps my friend no problem, ask the normal questions(address, area code, birthday), but constantly bends and flexes her ID. My friend pays and now I’m up. I make my selection and get ready to pay. I hand her my ID and she first ask me my home address and i obliged, then my birthday in which i also give her, and then she ask when my license expires, which i’ve never been asked before, but i tell her and give her the date “On my birthday next year in 2024”. All while still bending and flexing my ID. She then proceeds to say “I’m going to need to get a police officer down here to verify your ID. Frustrated I ask how long that will take and she says “About ten minutes with the traffic”. Ready to leave I tell her that i’d rather not wait the ten minutes and would rather leave when she says “Oh well your friend can just buy it for you” If she suspected that I or my friend were underage why would she even sell to us? Already annoyed and wanting to just leave I tell her sure whatever have my friend pay the $33 for the lost Mary that i could’ve bought for $20 cheaper 20 minutes off the island and leave. Overall not the best experience unless you’re looking for inexperienced employees with no respect for handling your ID and overpriced vapes"
