"HORRIBLE. Apartment sitting while family member away. Dead squirrel in attic on a Saturday. Flies, smell unbearable. Woman in office tells me to wait until Monday. I call emergency number guy came over removed it but said the fliy infestation would get worse to have office get exterminator. Lady at office said I'd have to wait a week. A week with dozens of flies 90 degree weather. Laughed and dared me when I said I'd report to health dept. I would NEVER rent here. Spend a few bucks more so you don't have to live with dead animals and flies."

"Been living in a 2-bedroom apartment for a little over 2 years now. I see a lot of bad reviews but I think people often tend to give an opinion when they’re angry. The bottom line is that what you see is what you get. Bedrooms aren’t large but you can see them on both their website and in person when you’re interested in renting. During my time here, I haven’t had a roach problem. I can say I saw (and killed) a roach in 2 years. The laundry rooms are in dusty basements and the machines need maintenance. However, these machines are not the property of the administration. They’re actually from a private company who uses Milford Estates’ space along others across Bergen for their business. The community is beautiful and peaceful. You get some loud kids every now and then but I never expected complete quiet from an apartment complex. Management has changed a bit and I can’t complain about current management. I did as I do anywhere else I’ve rented... showed some kindness and say ‘hi’ to their staff anywhere I see them. I’d suggest, as my wife, son and I did, visit the location, talk to neighbors around the apartment you’re looking at and decide for yourself. Ask about roaches, noise, heating, etc. That’s what I did and picked the right apartment."

"I was grateful to have a safe place to live but have to leave an honest review in order for things to improve for future tenants. The good: The neighborhood is nice, excellent school system, easy for children to play outside. Good for a starter apartment. My neighbors were nice. Customer service was never rude to us. The bad: unholy amount of roaches. nothing you can do to get rid of them unless the entire complex gets fumed. The laundry areas are poorly maintained (probably where all the roaches breed freely). Clogged pipes (dishwasher/sink/bathtub) no matter how many times I called the problem persisted. Everything that came down the kitchen sink will come up in the bathtub. Parking will break you."
