M2 Apartments

"The building has been good since we moved in here last year. Some pros: 1) front desk staff especially Wilmary and Robertson are excellent and very thoughtful. They deserve stars! 2) gym and lounge are excellent 3) next to lots of public transit 4) Summer roof deck area is good! 5) Maintainance is very prompt 6) leasing office is good too. Cons: 1) window bindings in the winters have been an issue. No matter how much maintainance seals them cold air still seeps in. Not very efficient and lots of heating needed due to this 2) the internet is compulsory to buy with the lease and it is ABYSMAL! The building knows about this and would still continue to charge you every month. We had to get a FIOS and are still paying for the buildings own useless internet. 3) the hallways on floors need a freshener. They smell and the building does less than needed to curb this."

"We have been living 1 year already in 401 and since the first day we felt it our home. Starting from front desk employees are always there helping in any need, amenities are wonderful and well maintained and if you have any minor issue maintenance takes less than many other buildings to get things solved. Thanks"

"Please do not rent this apartment!! I have had a fairly smooth experience until the very last months before my lease was up, when I completely lost faith in the apartment: In the apartment’s system they recorded my lease end date 1 month earlier than it should be. I was out of town when they think my lease ends, and guess what I found when I came back: all my belongings were broken down and shoved into a storage. The leasing office even tried to accuse me of not returning my keys after my lease end, only to find that they are the ones that made the horrible mistake. They claim that the apartment didn’t look like it was inhabited, so they took the liberty of entering and breaking down my bed. The way they dealt with it was to ask me to pick anything left that I want from the remnants in the storage closet so they can throw out the rest, like garbage. I don’t think this is acceptable behavior anywhere in this country and it goes to show how disconnected the management here is with the tenants, and how they intend to treat tenants that are moving out, like garbage."

"I have lived in different buildings in Newport area in the past 6 years, and Marbella M2 is absolutely the best one I have lived so far. I lived in M2 for 18 month, the floor plan in the building in general is great and easy to arrange furniture. The management is very professional and quite easy to work with. People in the front desk are the best, they are very nice and helpful, and willing to help you at any time. The maintenance is excellent and very responsive, the super normally will come and finish the maintenance and repair one day after you make the request online. What impresses the most is that the management tries their best to build long term relationship with tenant, unlike some other buildings nearby, who usually want to keep every cent of deposit from you, M2 normally will send the deposit back to you without any charges (yes, even no cleaning fee!). Although there are some scratches and dirt on the wall, the building still fully refund me the deposit, which really surprises me, because the building I lived nearby before moving to M2 kept all the deposit and take extra charges from me. Overall, if I can give 10 stars to this building, I will do. Highly recommend this building to everyone who wants to live in the Newport area, and would like to have a happy and nice living!"
