Franklin Towers

"I rented an two bedroom apartment in 2021 and I have just resigned a least for a one bedroom apartment. I will say that yes the building is older but Nelson does a really good job in getting these apartments looking great. The apartments are very spacious and they look great after Nelson adds his touch to it. I think people complain when they have an issue so I thought I would say something when it is well Deserved. Nelson has been awesome to my wife and I. He made it such a great experience."

"Lived in the building over 5 years: its over 100 years old, the building was actually a hotel originally. There are 5 floors and laundry in the basement. Nice tall ceilings in the apartments. Deep windowsills. Parking available on premises however extra$$$. It's a little expensive in my opinion. Overall a good building"

"Rented from them for 10 months was told they would re-rent by the middle to the last week of the month if I moved out the 7th after I paid for the whole month of July already. It stunk of dead mice and mice feces all the time and made us all very sick. Would not recommend renting from. Super is either with you or against but isn’t what is seemed. Be careful moving into this building, it’s a trap."

"I was living there 2 years ago with my 2 daughters. The building is very old but charming. The apartments are specious but there is a serious rodent problem within the walls..mice galore! Also, the building is not being maintained..Its very dirty. When I moved in the super seemed like a nice person. He told me he would rent me the apartment with no pet fees. One day I went down stairs to his office to pay the months rent. He starts telling me that I am very pretty and asked me out in which I declined. He seemed very upset and starts telling me that maybe I should start looking for a new place to live. I politely told him that I am not interested. I immediately contact the property manager and make a formal complaint against the super. Soon after I receive a letter that I owe back payments for having a dog although I was never paying a fee nor was it mentioned during the signed agreement. He then starts harassing me and my two daughters while we wait for the elevator. He would make snide remarks about me in front of my children. He would know when we would leave the apartment and come home because he would always look through the cameras. He then tried to take my parking away after I already paid in advance. One day I came home to find a car in my parking spot, when contacting him he would not respond so I called the police. He then comes out with his friends and moves the car after the police officer arrived. I finally understood that the best thing for me and my girls was to move out because nothing was going to change. Upper management could care less. The day I was moving out, he locked the elevator so I would not have access to them while moving my furniture out. This guy suffers from Napoleon complex and is complete scum. He has no respect for women! He is disgusting old man! Believe the awful reviews, the guy has serious issues. UPDATE: Hey Nelson, I have all emails sent with complaints against you. Not to mention text messages and recorded conversations. I left because of you were harrsassing us. I still have the letter and email sent giving my notice to leave. I left by choice. I'm glad I did. You can keep responding with lies. I have freedom of speech. This was my experience and I am sharing it with the community.You are a very sad little man."

"Good morning I'm writing in regards to the actions that your super at 165 Franklin at Bloomfield new jersey has taken. In these actions, he has harassed me and my wife. Not only that but at his own will if he likes you he will go ahead and let you pay rent without charging dog fee or dog rent and he may go up or down with prices if he so wishes. Same thing goes with the parking he's done it to more then one tenant where he'll charge 40 dollars to one tenant and another tenant 90 dollars for parking. He also goes on and says late fee will be 10% as stated on the lease but also tells others it will be 30 dollars everyday it's late. Not only is this complaint on regards of his favoritism, but also stuck dog poop on our door because he accused our dogs of pooping in the hallway when they didn't. When asked to see the cameras he got very defensive and resorted to childish tactics like name calling and yelling. If, he can show the cameras to other tenants (we asked around and of course it's people he favors) in this building then it should be no problem showing it to me because I want to see who put the poop on the door."
