"Don’t let the prices fool you. If you get approved, they want you to pay for the deposit, etc first without seeing the apartment in person. Then, you have to wait until the city inspects the apartment which may take a very long time, so even if you want to move in Sept, you may not move in until October. Poor management and also the lady on the phone is unprofessional and has zero care in the world. Don’t do it."
"I have been living here for 2 years (since February 2nd, 2021). It hasn't really been a smooth ride. First, I applied for a studio apartment (J line) that was listed as available. I applied, and waited weeks to hear anything back. When I called and finally got hold of an agent, they told me I was denied because of my report. I requested the report, and once I received it via email I found out this report belonged to another applicant (we did not even have the same name or initials). Finally, after notifying them of the issue, I got approved. About 2 weeks before I was supposed to move in, when I had already paid my deposit, I was told that the apartment I applied for was no longer available (did I not get approved for that apartment?). They offered me a bigger studio at a higher price point. I accepted because I moved from abroad for Graduate school, so I really had no other choice since I did not anticipate this to happen so short before my move-in date. Since then, things have seem to go south. I have an obnoxiously loud neighbor living one floor above me. I have heard almost abusive arguments with his (I assume) girlfriend, I have heard loud screaming and moaning during sex in the middle of the night, he slams his closet doors shut so hard that it wakes me up around 1 AM/7 AM. I have filed this and much more complaints to the leasing office, and for the longest I get no response. The property manager, Mariana Martinez, seems to be ignoring my emails all together and only replies after I sent her 1 or 2 follow-up emails weeks after my first email. A sit-down was supposed to be scheduled with the tenant since November 1st. It is now December 12 and I am still awaiting a response on the matter. On top of the noise complaints, I frequently have no access to hot water in my bathroom (tub and sink). The most recent being this past weekend and on Thanksgiving day this year (2022). I was not informed that there was no hot water and ended up having to go somewhere else to get a warm shower. Multiple people have complained about it, but it seems to be a persistent issue. I actually love the size of my studio, I love that all utilities are included (but hot water it seems) and I love that I was able to get an apartment as an international student because that seemed very difficult at other places. They're renewing a lot of things which is nice (like video entrance, Amazon hub etc). However, the above mentioned complaints make it really hard for me to continue to want to live here and to leave a good review."
"Back in June I went to Executive House looking for a 1 bedroom and met with Rosaly Goris who is one of the Leasing Agents. She greeted me with a smile and was very professional from the beginning to the present. Once she showed me the apartment and gave me a tour of the building I knew it was the place for me. I moved into my unit in August, but between June and August I kept calling Rosaly with many questions and concerns and she ALWAYS answered my questions with a smile and erased my concerns. She gets a 5 star rating because I know it's not easy dealing with tenants. Thank you Rosaly for your outstanding service to me!!"
