"It does not make sense . Mental health sucks!” this place never talks to people like we are humans that matter. it’s sad how messed up mental health system is. They gave me the option to do group therapy for 6 hours 3 times a week as if I want to hear someone else’s problems and tell other people mine. That’s total violation of hippa law!!!!"
"I am very happy for the great implementation this organization has put in place to help consumers to achieve health & wellness. However, this location at Berlin Cross keys Rd, the administration team needs to be resurrected, reshuffled, replaced , sincere, caring, un -hypocritical and professional. The consumers are exceptional, wonderful people who needs help. But, how can they receive the proper care when the administration team is very poor, selfish and only care about certain cultural people! I am In sympathy with these clients. I am so grateful I got the chance to serve them, I felt honored & humbled . Note carefully , Berlin administration team be reminded that been mean and disrespectful is not healthy. I wish one day the administration team will be better and professional."
"Don't trust them. I confused in one of the counselors and they went back and told my actual counselor and then she told my doctor. My doctor calls me and asks if everything is fine to which I replied yes and she then stated so you don't have xyz going on as if to trap me in telling her business which she has nothing to do with. So again don't go. They never have transportation either ."
"Do yourself a favor do not attend this program. I started there when it was TRIS in September of 1999 I left when it was Stiennger in March of 2004. In 2007 I came back briefly but quit due to my male primary care counselor John Radcliffe who offered me a ride home & in his office made a pass at me . In 2012 when it was Twin Oaks I left due to my counselor Natasha who treated me like I was low functioning when I am very high functional & kept putting me down in front of everybody. I am glad that I was asked to leave in April of 2012 & I haven’t looked back since then. I am doing much more better today than I was when attending there . I am now with an excellent Doctor/ therapist who knows my case very well & I am delighted that I have the privilege to be under her care"
"Although they may have a few downfalls; not everyone is perfect, Oaks is definitely the best choice for anyone with state medical insurance/Medicaid in need of mental health services in our area. They do have a somewhat long waiting list for most outpatient services but believe me you want to get on that list! I have been through the IOTSS program a few times now and it is by far the best intensive outpatient program! Most of the staff with the exception of maybe 1, is absolutely amazing. They really go out of the way to help in anyway that they can. This is also the only program I have been through that actually reached out to me multiple times when I messed up and stopped showing up for appointments. I am proud to say that I actually completed the program this time. My therapist Courtney was/ is a rock star! She really was the key to my success. Not only did she pay attention to what I said week to week but she was the first therapist I have ever had to actually stay with me through the entire program! My discharge from the program was just as amazing. The nursing staff made sure I would have enough medication until I see a new doctor and my therapist actually made phone calls on my behalf to get appointments with new outpatient services as well as putting me on the waiting list for oaks!"
