"We have been taking our children to HKP since the week they were born. We love the doctors and were happy to have such loving care for our children through all stages of their growth. However, since they have been acquired it has been a total nightmare trying to communicate with the staff in NJ as you are transferred to a switch board in another state. I was told they were NOT permitted to transfer calls to the local offices. Once a live person finally answers the interrogation begins. The first question is what is your insurance information. So before you can even leave a message or make an appointment, you have to be pre-screened. The call center staff are very rude and condescending. It is so unfortunate to see such a decline in service."

"My both kids had Healthy Kids Pediatric group as their main pediatric doctors and we always had a wonderful experience. But like the other recent reviews indicated, we had a bad experience with the call center in July last year. They misguided us by informing that the doctor provides allergy testing service and we made an appointment for this service based on this advice. The doctor met my son for one minute and wrote on a piece of paper the names of two allergy specialists (our insurance don't need a referral). What a waste of time and the doctor billed the insurance and billed me for the copay. How fair is that? We never made an appointment to see a doctor. The appointment was made for allergy testing to be done. The call center told us that this test is done on premises which was a total incorrect information. And the doctor should not have invoiced for the mistake that the call center did."

"Loved the doctors and staff, but since they changed over to Pediatric Associates, it's been a total nightmare scheduling appts, getting anyone on the phone, and requesting school forms (which required 3 trips to the office and at least 10 phone calls). I've switched practices and have gotten hung up on several times in their new phone system just trying to request medical release forms. Then when I finally talked to someone they said I have to get the forms online, but the portal says you can't request them online...ugh. When I finally got the instructions and fax number, they said their policy is at least 30 days!?! to release medical records. It used to be a great practice that made it really easy for parents...so disappointing."

"I have been taking my 4 kids here for the last 4 years. We have really enjoyed the doctors, staff and ease of working with them. However, like many clients are saying we too are extremely frustrated with the new management. I tried making our annual wellness appointment for all 4 of my kids back to back. Something that used to be no issue. Now I have been told they can't do more than 3 with one client back to back as they have to leave slots available for sick patients. I understand, they need slots but why when I am booking my appointments months out and there are numerous doctors in the office can I not get everyone done at one time? Why is it the doctor I am seeing has to have a slot open and it can't be another doctor? It's challenging enough to make the appointment, now I have to make multiple and come back different times! No one has time for that. Also, I used to be able to call directly to take care of bills. Now...I have waited on the phone for over 2 hours several different times over the course of weeks and now month's trying to speak with someone in billing about an issue that should have never even occurred. I have called different numbers within the corporation and no one is able to do anything other than transfer me to the same number that doesn't pick up. I have expressed this frustration to the people on the phone. As well as to the staff in office. It's obvious the in office staff is frustrated too. It's incredibly unfortunate. It's not worth it anymore. The family friendly practice that used to be great to work with is no more."

"We have seen Dr Paul Shah for over 19 years when the practice was in a very small office and have had an excellent experience with all the Doctors throughout the years as the practice has grown. Even now as the practice is much larger and 3 kids later we still get very dedicated attention and never feel rushed. I would recommend this practice to everyone especially new parents."
