"It’s a shame- I went with 3 stars because of medical assistant. The 7:30 opener receptionist (not the younger one- she’s nasty) was great. Very polite and pleasant. The medical assistant that did my drug and physical- I gathered that she is new and I don’t mind the wait as she was learning and being corrected but her attitude sucks. - wash your hands. “This sink here?” - it’s the only sink in the room.. sarcasm with an attitude. Like, relax little girl, I’ve never been here before and I wanted to make sure that wasn’t a medical only sink.. considering there was another door leading to a bathroom in the same room. If you had gone through the drug testing procedure properly, like you’re supposed to, maybe I would have known. :) The Doctor was great. Quick, easy and explained everything he did before he did it. Wait was OK. I had an appointment."
"If possible go elsewhere. Wait over an hour every visit and only be seen by the doctor (wait not a doctor an NP) to been seen and averageof 2.5 mins for a back injury and not be sent for any xrays or MRI until 2-3 months later. Dor her to finally admitted i need an othropedic. This place is a joke unprofessional and unorganized. Try a different place if possible."
"I was there yesterday. for pains in my chest at bayshore and the did a ekg in the triage room then I was placed on a stretcher in hall way for to hrs. No monitors on me. The did not check my sugar for my diabetes. they said I have shingles. Which would have spread already. Never had a stray or blood work done. You are the worst HOSPITAL."
"I want to share my experience at this doctors office today because i was overly satisfied with my experience. I have diabetes and was in denial of having it because i was scared, but i had to get help, so i did. I met with doctor Parini Patel. So while waiting in the room for her, i hear another patient screaming, disrespecting and threatening Dr. Patel. So I say to myself great I'm her next patient and after going through what she had to just go through i wouldn't of expected her to be the most kind hearted woman she was. If that was me and after dealing with a patient like that i wouldn't of wanted to deal with anyone else for the day. That wasn't the case with her she made me feel so comfortable and very easy going, took her time with me, showed me how to give myself insulin and explained so much to me. She was the best doctor i have ever met. I am writing this to say thank you to her for making me feel very comfortable even after what she just went through with her last patient. THANK YOU DR. PATEL."
"Went there for an MRI and after I got the bill, I discovered that their price is more than three times as much as an independent MRI center. In fact, my out of pocket cost is more than what it would have cost me at the independent MRI centers that I contacted. I am on the hook for over $1000 due to high deductible I carry. The MRI machine that Meridian used was over a decade old, whereas other places use current state-of-the-art machines and some even use open MRI machines. I am still waiting for the bill from the Radiologist at Meridian. With the independent MRI centers, the Radiologist's fee is included. To be very fair. the Meridian facility and staff were good. When I called Meridian billing to complain, the agent justified the fee because Meridian is a hospital. Since this was authorized by my insurance company I did not check the fees before going for the MRI. This was my fault. Lesson: If you want to lower your health care cost, only you can do it, not the insurance company. Hope this helps others."
