"I called a cab to go from Manhattan to home in NJ last night. Was told it would be $60. I ended up having to add a drop and was told it would be $155 but the credit card fee is 20%. In total, I spent $220 for $186 fare plus tip. I thought it was strange to charge 20% for just a credit card so I called this AM. The company told me the 20% includes tip. I explained that the driver told me the 20% is just credit card fee and did not share tip is included. So I asked for them to void yesterday’s transaction and recharge me $186. They told me to call the driver and settle. I then replied “would it not be better for the company to call their employee and settle”. They responded “our driver is not the type of employee to lie”. Overall, the follow-up service was just unprofessional and the way they conduct business is just sketchy."
