"CVS pharmacy that I visit has a courteous, friendly and helpful staff. CVS pharmacy is a good choice for one’s regular go to pharmacy."
"My partner and I had appointments to get two vaccines each. As we entered the store the guard said to us that the pharmacy had closed early due to some situation that occurred at another CVS pharmacy that ended up affecting them and they had decided to close early. I saw a person walking on the back of the pharmacy and went to talk with her. The security guard tried to talk me out of but I went and asked anyway. I had spent $30 in an Uber to hat there from the other side (west) of the Bronx and wasn’t going to loose my money and also not get the vaccines I had made appointments for. The nurse was extremely courteous and professional. She gave us the vaccines and explained that she would be there to honor the appointments. The rest of the staff had closed the pharmacy and were leaving when the nurse came out of the room where she was giving the two vaccines to my partner and asked if they were leaving without letting her know. That’s exactly what they were doing. We lucked out that the nurse was such a kind profesional and honor our appointments. The lack of communication between the pharmacy and the guard was very surprising. If I had listened to him I would have not received the vaccines I had scheduled way in advance. The whole experience is another example of the erratical manner and lack of professionalism that I have been experiencing at my loca CVS pharmacy (W 235 Street in the Bronx) and now this CVS on East 149 street in the Bronx. I am seriously considering switching my prescriptions to another pharmacy bc the uncertainty of service and the rude attitude of the employees makes the whole experience a negative and upsetting one. Today we were lucky bc the nurse in charge was a wonderful professional. But in general our experiences continue to be negative. You never know who you will encounter and how you would be treated. This all started after COVID. Perhaps the personnel is less ( shortage) and/or they are overworked and underpaid. But the working environment does not seem to be a healthy one. I see the volume of prescriptions and can only wonder about the poor conditions and pressure they may be working under. I have spoken to the assistant manager at my local CVS but no change seems to be taking place. I left my number for the manger but never received a call to report my concerns. This incident today at a different CVS, just proved to me the sad reality of the working environment at CVS and how it reflects on the way the customers are being served."
"Made an appointment to get the Varicella vaccine so I can start my teaching job only to arrive and learn they don't actually carry the vaccine. Don't know how the appointment even went through if they don't carry the vaccine. I don't even live in this neighborhood and it was a huge waste of time commuting here."
"Unfortunately your system is unsupported and media capture is not available. I wasn't able to record my video, but I'll like to said that in the Pharmacy dept. the cashier , is outstanding, goes beyond to be courteous and friendly, African American young man."
"Needed to get a covid shot urgently (the work requirement). They said at first "by appointment only" but when I said that I really needed it today, they took me in as a walk-in and gave me a shot. Nice friendly staff. Thank you guys!! I wish I got the names of the 3 workers involved so I could mention them here."
