"Absolutely the worst if we are talking business. I’ve stayed here before and loved it, no complaints in summer 2023. Now, planning again with a group of 6 people this place was no help. Prices changed every time, nothing in writing regarding price until we got fed up and finally had to ask. After telling this place that we were no longer going due to multiple miscommunications, i’m assuming it was the owner got mad at blamed it on the group, which if you ask me blaming costumers is the LAST thing you do as management. If you’re under age of 25 and mature enough to rent a place somewhere else do it. For the price of this place for 4 days we are now staying somewhere for a week."
"There is not way this is a 3 star hotel. The public water fountain had more pressure than the shower, I had to go to a friends hotel to get clean, then felt dirty going back to this room. The shower curtain had mildew, and there was previous renters hair in the tub. The box spring was old and yellowed, sheets had stains and the refrigerator was rusted. The door is a push button lock that one would have in their home bathroom. There was gaps in the door for bugs to get in, and the AC was old and did not work well. I cut my trip short because I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Pro’s - The woman at the counter was nice, free parking, though it didn’t seem like there was enough for everyone there, the balcony faced the ocean, and it was located right across from the Wildwood sign."
"The only thing that makes this place good is the location. We haven’t stayed in Wildwood for over 18 years but we came back for our anniversary since this is where we got engaged. Let me just say that most of these hotels are very old and were there when I was a child and they say that they renovate but really most are just putting surfacy stuff on. The nightly rates in season are really getting ridiculous for the accommodations. This place from the time you step in has a musty smell and mold is evident. The refrigerator was rusted and needs a good cleaning. The sheets and towels were stained but thank goodness my wife brought our own knowing that we would encounter this. The balconies are in desperate need of repair. After seeing places on the news that collapsed I did not want to go out on them since you could see areas of concrete that were repaired but are they really or again does it just show the appearance that they were. They aren’t even painted to match. There are cracks in the concrete right in the middle of most of the ones that I could see above me. Now the doors. Both the front door and the sliding door to the balcony have these makeshift security locks that are hard to fasten because the doors are old. You have to jiggle them to get the pin in. See photos attached. Also, the shower head had cracks in it so water would spray everywhere from the ceiling to the wall to the sink by the toilet. The faucets were leaking constantly even when you turned them off hard. Many rooms around us were filled the two nights we stayed there and the place reeked with the smell of weed. Many of those people did not appear to have medical conditions that warranted them to be “needing” it. In the end, great location but would steer clear of coming back. What a waste of my hard earned money!"
"This was the worst motel I have ever seen. We stayed for 3 nights and it was just under $900. Should have been $600 for that dump. First very poor customer service especially the 2nd shift person who talked on her phone the whole time. The room was awful and very outdated. The air conditioner was moldy and rusted out. Finger and hand prints smudges all over sliding glass door. The bathroom sink was disgusting and so was tub. The elevator did not work apparently stopped working as soon as we got there. Water dripped all over the stairs from all the ac units. The pool was decent it does need fixed but that was about the only clean part of the stay. Every time you asked the front desk person for something or if they had something it was always no, for example tape.. how do you not have tape. The location was good. I would not recommend this motel."
"Just checked out of the Newport Beach motel and it was honestly a lot nicer than i expected. The staff was very friendly and made our stay very welcoming. The beds were clean unlike the reviews I read prior. There are no bed bugs in our rooms unlike the other reviews. The TVs and rooms were updated recently, and the location was beautiful. Our room looked right over the wildwood sign and the ocean. Our house keeper was amazing she was very kind and left advice on what to do while we’re down here. I would definitely stay here again"
