"For the first time staying here, it was quite pleasant. The location was perfect since it was only 2 blocks from the beach. The balcony view was just tremendous. I brought my family to Wildwood for the first time and I can say it was definitely a win. Left an impression on them. The room was very nice granite the drawers on the dresser could've been fixed and also the one on the nightstand. Tv signal was very poor and it wouldn't connect to their own wifi which was odd but I couldn't care less. You are there to go out and enjoy yourself. Not stay in a hotel the whole time. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. Will be revisiting next year."
"We have come here for a number of years several times a season. We were at the hotel 3 weeks ago and then again this past weekend… What a huge disappointment this past weekend was. There were certain lobby staff that were rude and extremely unfriendly. When you say hello he doesn’t bother to even acknowledge at all… if it had happened once we could let it slide but many times throughout the weekend it happened. The cleaning staff was great. It looks like the hotel went down the drain in the 3 weeks since we had been there… towels were paper thin and no no floor mat for the bathroom nor was there shampoo or conditioner… Terrible !!!!!!"
"Really went downhill which is a shame. I've stayed here every year since I can remember. The rooms are a great size and the location of the hotel is perfect. The balcony is great to sit outside on. However, the showers are tiny and they give bath towels that are incredibly thin and does not fit around an adult. The dresser felt like it was going to break every time I opened the drawer. There was a gas leak in the building and it took them days to do something about it, we got relocated at 1AM and the staff did nothing to accommodate. Really sad that this place doesn't live up to what it was, especially considering what they charge to stay here."
"The rooms are super old and don’t even provide pillow cases, they use the shams that match the bedspread and call it a fancy pillow case. Sheets were sandy and we didn’t even go to the beach yet. The bathroom had water dripping from the ceiling, the door handle to the deck was broken, I could go on but you get the idea I’m sure. The front desk staff were friendly and the location is great, but they need to close and renovate before selling rooms for 300 plus per night. Lots of smoking going on too, gross because walls are so thin that you can smell it as though they are in your room, just gross."
"After reading reviews, I was a little skeptical about booking this place. We aren't picky. Just expect something clean and liveable. I was NOT disappointed. Is it a little outdated? Yes, as are most shore motels that have been there for YEARS. There are some things like ceiling tiles in the bathroom that could be improved. However, for the price I paid, the location, friendliness, etc. I have zero regrets about booking. We had a room on the 5th floor. Noise wasn't an issue at all (it was a concern with the pool right there and club downstairs). Our room was clean. We got in at check-in time (4pm) don't expect an early check-in. The pool was clean. We used it multiple times a day. I saw men cleaning it every morning. Kids enjoyed the balcony, and the railing felt safe. There is no privacy on the balcony, but that's not really an issue for us. The beds are soft. I do suggest bringing an extra pillow of your own. There's only one pillow per person, so if you're a multiple pillow sleeper like I am, bring your own. (Which we always do anyway) Linens were clean. We didn't use maid service. I set the trash and dirty towels out in front of my room, and they took it and gave clean towels. We didn't use the hot tubs. Most of the time, I saw kids messing around in them and using the jets to spray water out so they were low on water. Overall, you get what you pay for, and everything is expensive at the shore, but I feel we paid a fair price for a decent motel. I'm sorry others had unpleasant experiences. Maybe they were expecting more. But you can't beat the location, and the view is great."
