"Called to ask for pricing with the intention of booking a room. I’m not sure who was on the phone, I should have asked for the gentleman’s name, but he was extremely rude! All I asked for was pricing on rooms for specific days and price difference for certain rooms (Ex. Queen v King bed, Jacuzzi, etc) The guy told me that they were all booked up for those dates available then proceeded to make smart comments concerning my party who planned on staying here. (LITERALLY 4 GUESTS.. 2 TO EACH ROOM!) Stating that they allow no partying, we must be 21, we don’t do “that”, etc. When nothing concerning those matters were mentioned by me because I had 0 intention of doing so. I explained to him to not pry in my business because for one we are all of age, two we aren’t staying to “party” as we wanted to book to have somewhere to stay while we are traveling to the city. I then had my guest who planned on staying in the other room call. They then received the same hostile and rude attitude that I did for no reason at all! You’re in the wrong profession to be acting that way towards paying customers and you need a big attitude check! You’re pushing away business that way and it’s a very bad look. 0/5"
"The owner is a very very nice old lady with a wonderful southern accent. She was very accommodating. I asked for extra pillows and blankets for my kids and she gave me 3 and 2, respectively. She had coffee, guidebooks, and other small amenities in the office. I can't say enough nice things about her. The room itself left a lot to be desired, though it was mostly clean. The room we were given (9) had a full bed and a twin bed with a small entertainment center that had an old tube tv with direct tv hooked up. There was also a small mini fridge and a microwave who's plug couldn't reach the outlet. There were very few outlets. We wound up unplugging a side lamp to charge the phones. The beds were very very firm, but had clean crisp sheets and fluffy pillows. The twin that my kids slept on was also very firm, but again, clean linens. I checked the mattresses themselves for bugs/stains/etc and found that the mattress and the box spring (?) both had protective covers. The larger mattress had a stain on the underside, and whomever cleaned forgot to vacuum under the beds. The room is cooled/warmed by a regular AC unit. There was no wifi that we could find. The bathroom was very small. My husband is a little over 6 foot and his knees were millimeters away from the wall if he sat on the toilet. The shower had handles that looked like spigot handles for an old water hose or like an old summer camp shower. The water smelled a little, though I'm not sure what of. The towels provided were plenty and also clean and soft. The usual small toiletries were provided. Outside, the parking is very limited. The "neighbor" we had was smoking pot in front of his door, which would be fine but it was unfortunately only bout 3 feet from our door. The doors did not have a lock on the inside, save for one of those gold latch locks hotels usually have at the top of the door. The door did automatically lock when you shut it, but that left me feeling uneasy. We stayed out most of the day, partially because of the room. We left very early, around 6am, and didn't come back until almost 11pm. My suggestion is that if you have children, to pick another place, but if you're not finicky and honestly just need a place to lay your head after you're gone all day, this will do."
"Was a stop over place to stay..very nice staff!! Very clean room!! Excellent place and great rate for being the middle of summer and awesome to rent it for 1 night. Alot of places require a 2 night minimum. Thanks so much for the great room!!"
"The room was quaint and extremely clean. My only complaint was that the room smelled too strongly of cleaner - it was a little overwhelming. Aside from that, it was a fantastic night's stay, and we were happy to find a budget friendly motel that was clean! The motel also features a decent-sized well-kept pool. Kathy helped us over the phone to book the room, and was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a well-priced place to crash for a night at the shore."
"Friendly and accommodating front desk help. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was comfortable. Perk was the clean swimming pool. Comfortable sitting area for a picnic lunch on the grounds. Parking is free and adequate. Took approx. 10 minutes to drive to the beach/boardwalk. Family on a budget, this place is just enough."
