Bright Horizons at the Octagon

"I am so impressed by the team at Bright Horizons at the Octagon! My 1 year old son spent two days with Ms. Janis and Ms. Wanda this week as part of Bright Horizon’s Back-Up care program and they made us feel so welcomed. I could not believe the level of detail in the daily reports I received at the end of the day either - so much thought went into each activity and despite some initial separation anxiety by son grew comfortable with the team in just two days. Thank you thank you thank you to this team!"

"I cannot recommend this center enough. As a pediatrician and first time mom, I spent a lot of time looking for centers for my infant son. We actually commuted from Long Island City to Roosevelt Island because of the quality of this center. My child has received excellent care from Ms. Janis, who truly loves her kids. He smiles and kicks and coos when I bring him to her. She's helped him with his development and he's advanced thanks to her! Also, Ms. Wanda and Ms. Tatiana welcomes us every day with a smiling face and my son loves them too. Ms .Tatiana told us we "wouldn't regret" picking BH at the Octagon and she was right."

"The center is superb. Located at the first floor of the building with plenty of natural sunlight and surrounded by trees (unlike many centers in the city, mostly in the basement). Teachers and program are amazing. We sent our two children to this center and they love it. Our daughter graduated from the center last year to join a local public school and she often tells us that she misses her "old school" and wants to go back. In short, highly recommended."

"We enrolled our son at Bright Horizons at the Octagon after I had stayed home with him for the first 8 months. Everyone was so welcoming and made the transition super smooth, for our little one and also for me! It was a huge step for us as parents, but the teachers here have been so good with him as they nurture his physical and cognitive development. AND they frequently send photo and video updates to calm my nerves throughout the day :) The staff as well are such warm people who give personal attention to our family each and every day and ensure that dropoffs and pickups are a pleasure. Most importantly my son is so happy here. Ms Janis and Ms Sharrell are everything! I highly recommend this daycare!"
