"A hotel with the terrible practice of charging hidden fees and only revealing them when you arrive with your bags in hand to check in. They charge an absurd amenities fee, mandatory and without warning. They said they sent an email letting me know AFTER the reservation was made. A lie in very bad taste. I love New York, I will definitely come back, but this was the first and last time I stayed at this hotel."
"Disappointing and frustrating experience. I was already against the mandatory $36 amenities fee that they hit me out of nowhere with upon check in (for mini bar credit, WiFi, and gym?) - I thought ok if it’s for the whole stay…. Turns out it’s $36 amenities fee EACH NIGHT! That adds up. Insane. I don’t even want to use the mini bar! Nor do I want or have time to use their gym! Total scam. won’t be staying here again until they change the amenities fee."
"First night couldn’t get any sleep because we were put directly above a club the hotel has that’s on the 15th floor (beware if you’re put on the 16th floor because the club is open until 4 am and you feel like you’re trying to sleep in a bar). The shower also didn’t work in this room. Asked to be moved the next morning and luckily had no noise issues and was able to sleep. But then a few days later got charged an “amenity” fee. Makes sense if the amenities are the ability to sleep and have a working shower."
"DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. I stayed there over the weekend and as usual they charge you an initial deposit of $150 which includes a $35 amenity fee which is non refundable. The woman at the front desk gave us a paper and informed us that the fee included $20 complimentary for the mini bar so we took $20 worth of stuff. Today I checked my account and was charged not only the whole $150 but also $345 as well for taking things from the mini bar as well as “smoking in the room“which did not happen. Unless you want to get robbed I wouldn’t stay here."
"I loved the location. Loads of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby. Close to the underground station. Not accessible with a lift if you have luggage mind. Bathroom and brand of soap/shower gel was great. Didn't try the food in the hotel. Rooftop bar which is nice enough. Bed wasn't comfortable at all - got terrible back pain and the cycle repeated itself for 4 nights. For that reason I wouldn't return."
