Reviews
"I'm not sure how they get those 5 star reviews. I can only imagine that once upon a time they give out free food or something. I have to say, my experiences are very negative. The cashiers are super rude, and the quality of food is bad, and the place look like it just got flooded, because the floor and wall looks horrible. Most would assume you get what you paid for, but I feel like I'm paying the whole food price for foods that whole foods throw out. I feel bad for people in the neighborhood, they are been screwed."
"Well, a little while back me and my friend went to this place to buy stuff and the cashier charged the wrong item and refused the refund. So my friend had to get additional stuff to cover the difference. Of course, it's not enough so my friend had to pay more than what he was charged in the first place. I never check my receipt cause I assume it's a one in a million chance. Guess I was wrong. I would suggest if you have to go to this place, look at your receipt. Of course the choice is pay for stuff you don't want to buy in the first place, or just pay more than you should and let these people steal from you. It's up to you."
"This store has prices that's easy on your pocket and foods that you love, from meats to fruits you can't go wrong."
"There is ridiculous that few workers of this store that keep watching me since I got in. And they laughed at what I pick on vegetables, after I payed, they laughed at me when I'm leaving. I was confused what's wrong with those workers! Unbelievable!"
"This is the same supermarket that used to around the corner right by 86th street and across the street from the D train that closed down a few months ago. Strange that they reopened right within the former location of Mong Kok supermarket which moved literally just next door of this new location. Two asian supermarket right next to each other side by side. Most of the the new 18th ave supermarket consists of fruits and vegetables and a meat and seafood area and a very small boxed and canned food area in the back. I mean it is really small at only 3 rows of double sided shelvings with not counting the walls space. So if you want those go to the other supermarkets around the area. For the vegetables, fruits. Meats and seafood, this place have a decent selection with very competitive prices and definitely cheaper than the much larger jmart a few blocks away."
